When you go up in Hoover Tower, one gets a nice view of the Campus. Its also one of the landmarks for the campus. There are also some historical museum displays. Parking can be an issue when you visit the campus. Its easier to take Cal Train and then take the Marguerite Shuttle to different areas of the campus.

The view is unparalleled in the area, and the lobby is even more interesting. I feel for the folks who work on the tower's interim levels because there are few if any windows.

A great view of Stanford campus and the surrounding area. On a clear day, you will see as far as San Francisco.

From the 14 fl one can observe nice views but they are not that great as compared to the absolutely breathtaking views from the Stanford Dish hiking trail! If in the area, The Stanford Dish trail is a must and far more impressive than Hoover Tower....

Loved the view, and the opportunity to learn more about President Hoover's work. Best starting place for a visit to Stanford U!

We took a trip over to Stanford and had a Stanford student bring us, free of charge, up to the top of Hoover Tower. It was a spectacularly clear day and you could see the bridges and skyline of San Francisco way off in the distance. This is an attraction that can give you a quick lay of the land,... More

Of all the "high places" I've gone for lovely views around the world... this barely makes the list. It does indeed give you a view of Stanford and its environs, but it isn't a must do. If you're short of time, go to the Memorial Church and Cantor Museum instead. I do like the ground-floor exhibits, and it's a working... More

Well to start off I gave this three stars because upon my arrival the woman manning the desk was VERY rude and just seemed like we interrupted her day. After she was being rude to us she said there aren't video cameras allowed but yet still cameras are allowed in the tower. Throughout the time waiting for the elevator she... More

A bastion of conservative thought in the middle of a liberal campus. A smart and successful engineer, Hoover got a bad rap. More about his life and service inside the base of the tower.

If you enjoy history and especially if you respect President Hoover, this will be a great place for you to browse his documents and life achievements. Beautiful building as well.
