This place is huge! I got lost for my first few days. I love the architecture of this place. You just have to find land marks to get your Barinas. Like the clock tower. Also the food in the cafe is only ok. They have tater tots wand that's great, but nothing was ever super hot, or super cold. I... More

The venue was crap. No food or drinks were allowed to come in, and the "café" offered small water bottles and coke for $5 each. The staff people were way too officious, to the point that I will not go back to Stanford for a sporting event.

We stayed in Palo Alto for a family wedding and toured the campus and went running through it in the mornings. Gorgeous!

I made a visit with my husband who graduated nearly 45 years ago from Stanford. We signed up for a golf cart tour at the visitor center. You can do this online. This made it possible to see a lot of the campus with a short stop in the Chapel. Our senior student guide was informative. We then visited the... More

The university is not only iconic because of it's name but is also full of history. It's also well-maintained making it perfect for family outings or simply taking a walk around the campus grounds. There is also an app for iPhone called iStanford that you can listen to whilst walking around that will tell you the history of the place.... More

The visit to Stanford was worth it. it is a beautiful campus and very pretty scenery. There is even a Stanford "S" in flowers at the front. Stop by the bookstore if you want some logo'd merchandise.

You can't go wrong with a walk or jog around the campus. It is beautiful and the people so friendly. There is lots to see and do.

I was very impressed by the enourmousness of the campus and the beautiful low buildings. And every place so green and so quiet.

excellent university, architecture, nature and location! Full of student life and street events! You can spent all the day in open air without any need to go inside.

You can get a free guided tour of the campus. In fact, there are a number of different tours available. Go to visit.stanford.edu for a complete list. We joined their Discover Stanford tour which is conducted twice a day. This is not just for prospective students -- in fact there wasn't a single prospective student in our group of 25... More
