The new convention center is a piece of ARTWORK in the desert...the building exterior is a exciting and different with its curved views, multi-level entry and incredible use of natural rock. Inside it is very large with movable spaces which I suppose lends to its usability and ability to attract small and large group meetings. The exterior is the picture... More

This building is UGLY. Palm Springs is sadly so small town that it is unacceptable to criticize the unacceptable. So it will never get better. Sad.

The exterior of the building on one side and the Indian Museum on the other make for a stunning view. There is adequate parking even though you may have to walk a block or less for all events. It's big and roomy and in downtown Palm Springs, what's not to like? Recently friends and I enjoyed the Modernism Week Art... More

The rooms provided for teams are open, and many things get stolen each year! It would be nice to see some security down the halls, not just in the competition.

The wifi and cell phone service in the building was horrible all weekend. In this day and age, we should be able to go anywhere and at least be able to send a text message or get a phone call. And there was no wifi available whatsoever, not even if you wanted to buy access. Very disappointing.

Denise, thank you for your review and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your visit to the center for Duel in the Desert. Unfortunately, cell phone access is dependent on the individual carrier and varies based on their network coverage within a given area. The facility is equipped with a robust, high-speed wifi network and access... More

I was visiting the Convention Center for the CA science teacher conference. It was a very nice facility. Most of the rooms were spacious, however there were a few that we had to cram into. The restrooms were clean and the building was very well decorated, which made for nice ambiance. There is a very nice hotel connected to the... More

We came to the convention center because a family member was competing in a national dance competition. I was very impressed with the building. It is very large and modern with beautiful desert landscaping. The lobby is large and airy which is nice since there were a lot of people there but it did not feel crowded. The restrooms were... I attended a large medical conference at the convention center. The facility is very nice and feels very modern. The conference seemed to run very smoothly, which I think was in part due to the excellent staff at the center. I watched them set up and take down rooms, luncheons, serve appetizers, clean up- whatever they did was done quickly... More

The venue is very nice. Your experience here will be dictated by the event which you are attending. like most convention centers they do not offer anything themselves but rent out the space to multiple events over the year. The building is beautifully designed with some nice artistic touches. My one gripe is that in all of Palm Springs you... More

We attended the annual dance convention for the first time, and I must say, it was huge! The facilities were perfect for this convention: the rooms were large and comfortable, and the restrooms available and easy to locate. I also liked that they had a large bottled water dispenser and cups in each room. I was worried that, between the... More
