Just took this tour with Steve as our guide. Steve initially told us that this place was "magical" and that's just how I felt about it. I had no idea about the history of this place and surrounding area and Steve explained it all in a wonderful storytelling manner. There is no place in the Palm Springs area with this... More

We did the O'Donnell House historic tour last March (2014) and were very impressed. We reserved a few days in advance and ended up being the only others on the tours, we we had a private 2 hour tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed hearing not only about Mr O'Donnell's story but also of the... More

We booked this tour via phone call to Steve~ the Tour Guide~ about two weeks ahead of our travel date. He can be reached at (760) 320-0771 or (800) 966-9597. The cost is $45.00 per person. Steve was very accomodating and a terrific story teller! The house was beautiful inside & out and the tales of the owner & his... More

This was our first trip to the Palm Springs area, and we decided to begin our stay with a tour of the O'Donnell House based on previous reviews of the tour and its guide, Steve. From the minute we spoke with Steve to arrange the tour, we knew that we would not be disappointed. HE makes the tour! Engaging, entertaining,... More

Steve was well studied and personable. The house has a lovely view, probably the best view, over downtown Palm Springs and the whole valley. As Steve said, a 180 degree view. He explained that the house was designed by a painter/artist, not a architect, which accounts for it's beauty. He was able to bring some of the historic founders of... More

Steve, our guide, was incredible!. He described the history of the O'Donnell House with so much knowledge. He is an excellent story teller. He gave us lots of history of Palm Springs in this tour. I did not tune out as I sometimes do with tour guides. It was fantastic! The house is used for weddings and I can see... More

There is a lot of history on this tour of the most unusual architecture and breathtaking views. Explaining much about the residence and grounds would spoil it for you. But the guide himself - Steve - needs reviewing. He came to the valley only a year and a half ago to write a book on the story of the property.... More

This private tour was led by our extremely knowledgeable guide Steve who met us right along the side of the Palm Springs Art Museum. He gave us an overview of the area, the history of Tom O'Donnell which also included the adjoining golf club. We then headed up the hill in a golf cart past the stacked rock walls where... More

With day time temperatures well above a scorching 95 degrees, the gracious and knowledgeable tour guide, Steven Vaught, accommodated our request for a night tour of the unforgettable and historic O’Donnell House. The exhilarating ride in an electric cart up to the house is just the beginning of a delightful time. The mountain top view of Palm Springs sparkling at... More

I had the opportunity to work an event at this house for a family birthday event - what a view and the patio is very beautiful and the setting way up on top of the hill overlooking all of Palm Springs from many angles - awesome - I would definitely put this on a list for a special birthday -...
