We rented bikes at Bike Palm Springs. Good bikes, wonderful place to start a bike ride. The staff has maps and will suggest routes. Helmets provided.

This is the only bike rental shop that I know of that uses Electra bicycles and at very reasonable prices. If you don't know Electra, the company is known for the best-of-the-best in leisure bicycles.
