My daughter and I did a one hour ride and quite enjoyed it. It was something different to do in Palm Springs and didn't hurt it was just down the street from our rental house. The one hour ride took you down a wash which is hard to imagine being full of water. You get to go right up to... More

Just love going on this horseback trail. I have been on it several times before and each time I am out in Palm Springs I want to do it again. Perfect November weather. The guide was very informative about the area i even learned things I had not heard about on previous rides. The mountain views and the Oasis up... More

On a recent trip to Palm Springs, my husband and I had the opportunity to visit Smoke Tree Stables, and opted for the two hour ride. We were the only ones on the ride, so it was as if we had a private ride. We found the staff very friendly and knowledgable. They really fit the horses to the riders... More

This is my fourth winter in Palm Springs and we finally booked a 2 hour horse ride into Indian Canyons. What an incredible experience. I felt like I was riding through an old western movie set. The setting is magnificent. The trail goes through the desert with the majestic San Jacinto Mountains in the background and ends up at a... More

We arrived late in the day, so we only had time for the one hour ride. It was really fun. My husband and I had really nice horses. The scenery is incredible and Debby ( I think that was her name) the guide was funny and informative. We could hear the coyotes howling in the canyons, what a great experience!

I wanted to do something different this time in Palm Springs so decided to go horseback riding. They fit the horse to the person and since I have only riden a few times I wanted a nice easy one and that is what I got . You don't have to make reservations unless u want a private ride. There were... More

The Smoke Tree Ranch Stables made our vacation a truly memorable experience for me and my kids. The ride is beautiful, like you are riding through the old west with barely a hint of the nearby city. The guide was super friendly and helpful and the horses were great. My 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son had... More

First timers will love Smoke Tree Stables. They have mature, gentle, and graceful horses that you can rent and ride near the mountains. It's great fun, but don't expect to be galloping off in the distance. You're not riding Silver.
