I was here for 10 days and it is about as small as they come. I honesty did not expect any sort of strip malls or as many chain stores/restaurants as there were in this little town. You are most definitely in the desert with no respite from the heat and sun. The nights can get cool, well I say... More

I'll make this short and direct...unlike the road. Everything you want is on Palm Drive. From the desert to Del Taco and everything in between. Goes on for miles and cuts through all the towns from Palm Springs through Indio on the way to Salton Sea.

Park the car in the large downtown parked free of charge and take to the street on foot. There are blocks and blocks of fine restaurants, cleaver eateries, fun bars and clubs, unique retail stores and then the design district. The stores on Palm Canyon drive have some of the most interesting merchandise you will ever see...everything from retro mid... More

This is a long street with shops, resturants, designer items. We like to start on one side of the street and go in any shops that look interesting, stop for a drink, walk some more, cross and walk the other side, eat, shop, walk. Stop when tired.

Great area with many excellent restaurant choices spanning a broad array of cuisines, trendy bars, and boutique stores, spanning over a few miles. Lots of house rentals in the neighborhoods bordering Palm Canyon Drive, which is a great way to be able to take a walk downtown and take advantage of all it has to offer.

Hot little strip, great stores with some rare finds. A must do to walk up one side and down the next. Stop at the misters to cool off...

Having grown up in Southern California, Palm Springs is just one of those town everyone seems to enjoy. There is so much history here. The architectural design of many buildings are nothing short of art. Many of these can be seen on Palm Canyon Drive. If you are mid-century modern collector, this IS the place for shopping and/or admiring what... More

This is a wonderful place to take a leisurely stroll through the shopping and dining center of old Palm Springs. Terrific little shops and great food set in the perfect climate - provided you go in the winter!
