Loved downtown after sunset it's too hot to enjoy in the middle of the day. Hung out at Azul's bar great prices for drinks and appetizers.

I saved a ton shopping today! So many stores had 60%, 75%... I think people forget to leave the outlet stores and just shop the sales. The quality, I think, is better, in a sleeping town, during off season, I was able to walk away with almost $1,000 worth of clothes for under $200. Go, go, go!

It's really nice walking down the main street here. Everyone is dressed resortish and just happy to be out and about in town. There are lots of fun shops and restaurants to visit.

We spent a few days in Palm Springs during June. Our unexpected bonus was the weekly VillageFest. What a wonderful to get people ( locals and tourists) downtown on very hot summer night. This is a must for anyone who is in the area on a Thursday. Parking can be a little dicey, since some streets are blocked, but we... More

Driving Palm Canyon gave us multiple cultural glances through the history of this place. My big question is; what is going on at the corner of Mesquite Avenue and Palm Canyon? I need to Google that. The architecture is remarkable. If buildings could talk, we would not need much more to entertain us! Will be curious to see when the... More

After spending a week in palm springs one gets to know the palm canyon drive quite well. It connects most of the cities which comprise the valley and is an easy drive.

To us, Palm Canyon Drive was something to be avoided due to the very heavy, often slow moving traffic with the exception of the portion in the area of the Walk of Stars and the giant Marilyn Monroe statue with all of the restaurants, cafes, shops and the street fair on Thursday nights. However, traffic is at its worst here... More

This is a must if you are in the Coachella Valley. Go to happy hour first at Maracos and people watch before walking the several blocks of closed off South Palm Canyon. The street market takes over the downtown on South Palm Canyon every Thursday night from 6PM. Enjoy a wide variety of artisans, food stalls and clothing. We parked at... More

The most fun is the Thursday night street fair. Lots of arty vendors and food stalls. The shops are fun to browse through. There are some really good restaurants along this street. One surprise was a little place called Cheeky's for Breakfast. Definitely fit for foodies. I stay at La Maison - an intimate Mediterranean style 13 room B&B on... More
