Both myself and my wife visited the Palm Springs ariel tramway during a day / evening trip to Palm Springs (from Elsinore). This is a great way to spend anything from an hour or two to a day or two... Park as close to the visitor centre as possible if you can, as it can be a bit of a... More

We went fairly early on New Year's Eve after 8 inches of snow had fallen, and could see that the lines were going to be long later in the morning. We were able to bump the line by paying in cash, but if you are certain you are going buy your timed tickets online the day before. If there is... More

Fun tram ride to the top of the mountains and amazing views of Palm Springs area. Lots of parking, but bring good walking shoes do that you can enjoy the hiking trails at the top. Also Oy can get quite cold so a warm sweatshirt is nice to have with and long pants.

The views were great! The price was OK. We waited in long lines but it was worth it. Take warm clothes as it gets real cold at the top of the mountain. We didn't eat at the top so I can't rate the dining experience.

I must admit, I'm spoiled. I live in Vancouver, BC and we have the Grouse Mountain skyride which is comparable, if not better, to the Palm Springs Aerial Tram. The only thing that makes this one better is that it revolves 360 degrees so everyone can see the view at least twice. We went at 3:30 and got to the... More

This was our first experience on a revolving tram. It was certainly better than a stationary tram because you got a 360 degree experience going up and coming down. When we left the base of the mountain it was almost 70 degrees, and it was about 45 degrees with some snow at the top. Quite an experience! The views from... More

This is a thrill ride for those who are a bit timid about these things. A large steady gondola car take you to the top of the mountain in 11 minutes while completing two slow revolutions allowing for great views both up the mountain and down to the valley.

The tram ride itself is spectacular as it takes you from the valley floor to the top of Mount San Gregorio. As it passes between two massive rock formations, to see the cliffs so close is spectacular. Once at the top, the view across the valley is gorgeous. There are also several restaurants that are lovely to dine at or... More

Fun experience. It was crowded, but plenty of areas to sit, snack, soak up the sun, relax, etc. Do know the tram does shake some when near the towers. Also, the floor of the tram rotates, so it doesn't really matter where you stand if you're concerned about taking pictures. Take advantage of the hiking trails, but remember you have... More

This is a good way to spend a few hours. The ride up is fun and the views are very nice. There's a restaurant you can relax in at the top. However, it is extremely crowded at times, to the point of discomfort. Definitely buy tickets in advance if you're coming at a busy time because if not you're in... More
