The views from the rotating tram are great and continue on once you get to the top of the mountain. We did the self guided tour, the hiking was easy. We wore sneakers and a couple layers of clothing, and were quite comfortable. We spent about 2 hours and feel thát was the right amount of time for us.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a unique experience. How often to you ascend 6,000 feet in less than 15 minutes? The views are gorgeous and the ride is fun and informative. The tram is a feat of engineering. As many reviewers have noted, the temperature at the top will likely be quite a bit cooler than at the bottom,... More

With 4 teens in tow it is hard to find an activity everyone can enjoy! The tram and the hikes in San Juancito fit the bill! The tram ride is fun. Up top we let everyone pick their own trails. 3 hours later we all met up, discussed what we had done and enjoyed lunch before heading back down. Go... More

We went on Thursday at 3:30. We were able to park close in. We bought our tickets and the tram was boarding so we got right on. Beautiful views! It is a fun way to travel up so quickly! Our tram was not crowded and it was easy to see all directions. We watched the film (I would skip this... More

You literally climb to the top of a mountain in 11 minutes. The weather was beautiful in March but I was happy I had a jacket - it is like a 40 degree temperature difference from the base to the top. There is a mile+ trail at the top that leads to scenic overlooks. So glad I did this.

After spending a hot day by the pool, this was a great change of pace. You cannot beat the close up view of the mountains as you ride the tram to the top. The cafeteria food "ride and dine" was OK, but I suspect it is very hard to get above average food to the top. Once you get to... More

A very impressive piece of engineering, the Tram whisks you from the heat of the desert, up 6000' to a very chilly summit so by all means take a coat with you. On the ride up the car rotates a full 360 degrees so all passengers get to see all the views. At the summit there are several easy to... More
