I have purchased a tram/dinner ticket with friends several times during the last few vacations to Palm Springs. I especially like to take a first-time visitor up. The narrative on the way up explains the tram and the history of the valley. Food is good and there is lots of room to sit.

It sounded like the sort of thing we have done before, but we have never seen anything from the top of a mountain that resembled the beauty below. The ride up in the cable car was very interesting as it revolved 360 degrees whilst ascending. Not for the faint hearted! Brilliant, breathtaking views from the top. Recommended.

We had to wait a long time but it was a fun time. The ride up was smooth except when we went past a tower then the whole car would swing. When we got to the top the lodge was very nice and the view was splendid. We went on a nearby hiking trail for 5 great view points. It... More

Take your coat, its a very nice break from the desert heat... enjoy the magical view! The tram ride is fun but if you have problem with heights you should think twice!

The ride itself was amazing and a bit scary whenever it goes over the towers as it swings. The tram itself goes around so you won't be seeing the same side. Although it's boiling hot in Palm Springs, it's colder at the top so do not forget to bring a sweater like I did or you'll end up buying a... More

I have ridden several trams over the years and this was the most enjoyable. It is steep rising with fabulous views and the most interesting part was the revolving floor! I was worried that I would end up stuck in the middle of the tram with a crowd of people and not be able to see anything, but the layout... More

The tram ride and views are fairly dramatic. The beautiful cool forest is a wonderful surprise, and a nice break from Palm Springs.

Such a contrast from the parking lot up to the mountain station. You can see forever and the views are incredible. We went in early March and it wasn't very busy...no waiting at all. You need a heavier jacket if you plan to be outside as it was only 30 degrees with lots of snow around. There is a souvenir... More

This is a must-do in Palm Springs, which means bringing some warm outerwear. The temp is much colder up here, which can be a nice break from the heat, but also a shock if you don't have a coat. Once up the fun ride (soon to offer a zipline, I hear), you can walk around the top, have lunch or... More
