The views are spectacular on a clear day and there are may trails to hike at the top. If you are energetic, hike take the pathway down instead or riding the tram. The food and beverage service is good for a tourist attraction.

There is a reason things are voted #1 attractions. This adventure does not disappoint. We went up the tram in the morning…make sure you bring a light jacket. The hiking was a bit treacherous because of the icy trails. The little 1.5 mile trail with beautiful views was amazing. Amazing to be soaking in the healing waters in Desert Hot... More

The Tramway offers wonderful views for everyone because the floor rotates 360 degrees. Ticketing, loading and unloading are easy and efficient, but you may want to consider going during off-peak times. But whatever else you do, checking the weather is a must. The cool, 60-degree day at the bottom of the mountain gave way to a biting, windy and cold... More

This is the second time that we have taken the tramway and really enjoyed it both times. The trip up and down the tramway is very cool (literally and figuratively) and the views are breathtaking so don't forget your camera. Made reservations online for early dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good and the service was excellent! Definitely... More

A unique experience- one of only three in the world of its type. Well organized and with the rotating platform there is no need to worry about securing a good spot on the tram. We went in mid November and it was not cold yet-the walking weather was perfect- even with other visitors it was so quiet and beautiful. Coming... More

to the people who give businesses bad reviews because of their so called " bad experience" if you just look up the information of the tram it will tell you #1 it is much colder than the valley floor due to the elevation. #2 it is a very popular attraction #3 it is a tram people it is going to... The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is an extraordinary engineering feat--the canned history is well worth listening to, as you ascend and rotate simultaneously. The tram trip provides a stunning view of the desert floor below and jagged cliffs with pinon pines impossibly thriving in rock crevices. At the summit (~8,500 feet), we found a quiet trail and walked in amidst... More

We were able to ride on the first tram of the day, so it wasn't terribly crowded. The ride up provided some great viewing, as the tram rotates a couple of times during the ascension. There had been no snow this season until just a few days ago. We spent a little time walking in the park, San Jacinto, and... More

If you take the tram and then hike up the mountain from there, bring water, jacket and wear good boots. Depending upon the time of year, the hike can be beautiful, too hot or too cold. Spend time enjoying the beauty. It takes several hours to make the summit.
