We were able to ride on the first tram of the day, so it wasn't terribly crowded. The ride up provided some great viewing, as the tram rotates a couple of times during the ascension. There had been no snow this season until just a few days ago. We spent a little time walking in the park, San Jacinto, and... More

If you take the tram and then hike up the mountain from there, bring water, jacket and wear good boots. Depending upon the time of year, the hike can be beautiful, too hot or too cold. Spend time enjoying the beauty. It takes several hours to make the summit.

A must if you visit Palm Springs. The tram ride is like non other and once you get to the top the views are breathtaking. Hiking trails are available from beginner to experienced. The employees are helpful and friendly and really seem to love what they do

This is a great way to spend part of a morning or afternoon. Make sure you pick a day with no clouds or you won't see anything at all. We chanced it and were able to occasionally see the Coachella Valley and windmills.

In my humble opinion, if you're in Palm Springs, this is a must-do activity. The Tram car takes you all the way to the top of a mountain. It was fun to leave the warmth of the desert, to get to the top of this summit and find cool air, and even some snow. There is a restaurant and gift... More

An unlikely companion with the desert below to be walking in the snow within 30 minutes of downtown Palm Springs

This is must-do if you are visiting Palm Springs. The views are spectacular. Wear your walking/hiking shoes if you are going on the trails. And bring a jacket, it is cooler on top of the mountain.

Expensive at $23. We got there at 3pm and could not to up until after 5pm due to how many tickets were sold. The waiting area is too small for the amount of people waiting. Then everyone is herded into place and crowds on to the tram. Hoards of people in the building at the top of the Tram waiting... More

Great experiance, tram rotates 360 degrees while moving up and down the tramway. Excellent walks when at the top. Food and beverage service avaiable. A few shops for tee shirts etc.
