My trip on the Tram was definitely an experience. I am scared of heights but wanted to do something out of the ordinary for me. I am so happy I got to experience it. The chang in scenery was amazing and beautiful. To think that weather and atmposphere can change so quickly. I recommend taking the tram to see how... More

The only tramcar of its kind. You are lifted up 6000ft in 10 minutes whilst the car gently rotates to give you a view of the Coachella Valley. It's a great trip; If you are scared of heights, don't be, it's worth it. The views from the top are awesome, the trails give some grat chances to walk and the cafe... More

Be sure to take the tram when you visit Palm Springs. The set up is very organized from parking to the shuttle to the tram boarding. The tram itself is a fun and beautiful ride. Once you are at the top, be prepared for a good hike around Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The Desert View Trail has many gorgeous... More

It was fun. We went up about 8 pm and watched the sun setting. It was a nice time to go up, but if I went again without small kids I would go up in the morning and hike around. We went in July and even though Palm Springs was 110 degrees Fahrenheit, it was a little chilly at the... More

Up you'll go, rising 6,000 feet (give or take) in a jiffy, with the floor of the gondola slowly rotating beneath you. Thank goodness the windows open, because some of those hikers crowded into the tram could sure use a shower. For 22 bucks, don't miss it.

Went here over the weekend with my husband on our babymoon. I was 36 weeks pregnant and very brave to try this adventure. I went here more than 10 years ago so I don't really remember how it was like. The new trams with the 360 rotational floors was a treat. Although I was really nervous going up, the destination... One word: Stunning. This was an absolutely fantastic attraction, the best by far in Palm Springs! It was incredible. The cable car up and down was very smooth, the views from that were incredible. Not a hiking bunch but there is an easy walk (1.5 miles) that leaves you with some incredible views, called the discovery trail. Not hard at... More

Even as a local, the tram never gets old for me. The ride up offers the most amazing views of things that you never expected to see in the desert. The weather at the top is a world away from the desert floor, and so often there is enough snow to play in. Always worth it.

Yesterday I went up the Palm Springs tramway for the first time with the newer rotating tram cars. The only other time I went up was 37 years ago when they had the old style tram cars that didn't rotate. To be honest, I know I am in the minorty on this but I preferred the old style. The problem... Very informative and interesting trip with great views of the Palm Springs area and fantastic photo opportunities. It is also great for people who love the outdoors, walking and wildlife. Also has good facilities while you are up there for food and anything else you may need.
