My friend and I went to lunch in Palm Springs. She said after lunch, "What else is there to do here?" I had a faint memory of there being some sort of aerial tram in the area. From downtown Palm Springs the drive to the aerial tram is about 15 minutes. The ticket cost about $23.00 and is a 10... More

In just 11 minutes you go from desert to mountains, gaining almost 6,000 ft in elevation. I took an early ride up (8:40 am) and I recommend going at that time because the trams are empty. The trams rotate 360 degrees and have a narrator that explains some of the sights and how it was constructed. I booked my ticket... More

This is one of five rotating tramway cars. There is no swing and sway, just a smooth, ever changing view as you rotate you way up the slope. We usually go up during the winter and during the spring. These are the best times for us. Be aware that it is over 7,000 ft up so you may experience some... More

We took a guide tour. It is FREE! The guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many things that a normal person would just walk by. Take the time and get to see and hear about the area. Decided to eat at the restaurant. Our server was very good, the appetizers that he recommended to share were delicious and were... More

What an amazing ride up from the bottom of the mountain, it almost goes too fast. Stunning views of the Palm Springs area & the side of the mountain. The cable car can become a bit crowded & some sightseers are too busy talking or yelling over the pylons, which does take a little away from the experience. Not the... More

I liked the entire experience of the tram, from the smooth and gorgeous ride up the mountain, to the surprising and interesting information provided about the local biosphere and its amazing diversity, to the dining experience at the top of the mountain.

It's hot in the desert in September, so a ride up the mountain to a cooler elevation was especially refreshing. We didn't have to wait long, the facility is nice and well kept, and the tram cars hold a lot of people. But even full, we had no trouble seeing out because the car floor rotates 360 degrees twice on... More

Even though it was cloudy the day we went up. The 35degree temperature difference was SO nice. We enjoyed a 5 mile loop hike in the cool weather and took many great photos. The tram itself is an amazing engineering feat and the inner floor spins 360 as you are going up or down. If you are afraid of heights... More

Do this for sure!! The ride up is exciting and the view from the top is sensational. In addition, there are numerous trails, available food and drink.
