We visited on Thursday evening...were thrilled with the sculptures there...especially the new modern art glass exhibit...the range of art at the museum was great...and we got treated to a preview of the modern ballet!

We went because we heard they were featuring some works by Dale Chihuly. As it turned out, it was one big piece and that was all. However, the rest of the art there was very interesting and we enjoyed seeing it in the very attractive building.

This museum is beautifully laid out and has a pretty impressive collection for the size of the town.

We went on Thursday evening, when it was free. There were a good amount of people there, but we were still able to see a lot of art without feeling crowded. The layout and soaring ceiling makes the interior seem larger than it is. Worth taking the time to visit.

This is the real deal. There is a lot to see, over three levels and an outdoor sculpture garden. We visit art museums a lot; this was our first visit to Palm Springs'. We saw a special Weiner donation exhibit with terrific statuary pieces, and alongside was a neat Picasso ceramic (!) and a scary skeleton picture by Rouault. Upstairs... More

I'm glad we took the time to check out this museum but my husband and I weren't all that thrilled but we aren't big on art and everyone has their own interpretation.

Free entry on our Thursday evening visit. Only a couple blocks off Main, behind the Hyatt. Something for every persons taste without being overwhelming. Head to the top floor modern art and work your way down to the sculpture gardens.

This very substantial museum somehow avoids overwhelming the visitor with too many exhibits. A very diverse collection that is not walled off by barricades and ropes, except in rare instances. One can walk right up to most of the art and see the detail that reveals how the artist created it. Four floors of exhibits, including some outdoor sculpture. A... More
