This experience was a highlight of our trip. The landscape was very unique and beautiful. Carlos Salas is a very knowledgeable guide who exuded his passion, and enthusiasm for geology and astronomy and explained things in a very clear manner. We found this 3 hour tour very fascinating and fun. Wear or bring with you, lots of layers of clothing as... More

We really loved the San Andreas Fault Tour. Bob was a terrific guide, friendly and knowledgable! He was entertaining and the time on the tour flew by. He provided many interesting facts about the areas visited on the tour. We had a full jeep of people with three separate groups as part of it. This also made the trip interesting... More

We found this tour through TravelZoo - $170 for two. The problem is that the company can choose to accept or deny your reservations at any time. We gave the company a few dates several weeks out. However when the first few times got close, we didn't hear from the company that our trip was canceled, so we called to... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour and that you thought your guide did an outstanding job. We are sorry to hear of your frustration, however, with the TravelZoo offer. It is always important to read the fine print before purchasing offers on... More

We had a ton of fun on this jeep adventure! Not only was our guide amazing, but this tour takes you to places that aren't accessible to the public. While this tour is a little pricey, I think it's worth every penny. Highly recommended by us!!

This was an awesome adventure! My family and I went on January 2, 2015 during one of the coldest mornings ever, but our guide Bob was great. He had blankets in the jeep for us to use and he was so interesting we didn't even notice the cold. We traveled all around the area learning about the plants, animals, tribes... More

Excellent tour. Very beautiful scenery. We made three stops and were told about the history of the area and different plants and animals. Lots of fun. The docent, Nancy, was highly knowledgeable and very funny.

Jeri Barry was our guide and kept our attention during the entire trip during an unusually cold morning. She had a terrific attitude and taught us a great deal about the area, plant life and evolution of the valley. We returned to plant the seeds that Jeri gave us for starting our own palm trees. Our family of four each... More

We could NOT have picked a more chilly day than today for this tour but luckily, we dressed warmly and had a wonderful time! Our guide, Tom, was a wealth of knowledge and had answers to all of our many questions as well as a great sense of humor. It was a pleasure to interact with someone who not only... More

I bought the 3 hour sunset Star Gazing tour for my husband for Christmas. He's really into rocks and stars. Our guide Carlos Salas was enthusiastic and very informative. It was a bit cold I recommended dressing warmly because you are sitting outside in jeep the entire time. I highly recommend this tour and you really get your money's worth!

I booked both the San Andreas Fault (SAF) and Windmill/Whitewater Preserve tours with my wife. Morgan Levine was our SAF guide and she was a true champ when it came to knowledge, presentation, picking out the top spots, and bringing the experience together. Bob & Jim provided a wonderful and meaningful tour of the windmills and the Whitewater Preserve and... More
