A gorgeous area with great walking and bicycle paths. The iceplants blooming along the waterfront brings us back every spring. It is one of the most beautiful areas on the California coast.

Gorgeous homes around here, some looking like hobbit homes. The views to the waters and all around the scenic drive is gorgeous. Drive along the entire scenic route up to the Mission Museum. Don't forget to look at the homes as well as the ocean.

Beautiful beach drive and a great way to see the ocean. Nice places to stop and park and get out and down to the beach. Great photo opportunities of the ocean.

The entire coast of the peninsula is full of gorgeous beaches. I'm not sure where you could actually swim, since many places have warnings, but I would be too chilly to swim anyway. I really enjoyed just driving and stopping at the parking lots or pull-offs that are so abundant and taking in the sights. I was told by one... More

We love standing and watching the adorable harbor seals. The mamma and babies share the cutest bond! Great area for kids and adults alike to view the wild life without disturbing their natural habitat.

We drove along and pulled over several places. Just keep out of the bike lane as there are many bikers, hikers, and joggers enjoying this stretch also. We watched the seals and climbed on the rocks a bit. Plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the view. Not as spectacular drop offs and waves as on HWY 1 coming... More

This little stretch of coastline is worth detouring to see. It is far prettier than most of the "17 Mile Dr." that you have to pay an arm and a leg to see and it's free. The only down side is a certain degree of tension between locals who want to get somewhere and tourists who want to take in... More

Walk, bike or drive. It has hiking paths, bike lanes and lots of pull outs for cars. A must see area.
