Title says it all: Park at any of the many areas, get out, look around, walk on the beach, get your feet wet in the Pacific, walk a mile up the trail and back. It's good for the soul. If you just get out, look around for five minutes and climb back in to drive on, you done missed it!

This is one of our favorite drives to take in Pacific Grove. We like Berwick Park and the sculpture there. We like Lover's Point and the interesting rock formation and watching the birds. Then the spectacular ocean front drive from Lover's Point to Asilomar State Beach. If one is driving in this area, there are various places to get off... More

Its a quiet town but at night, not the best for walking the street. The innkeeper said that's the downside of the town, that its not the best lit. The town is quaint, and can be walked to most places (especially during the daytime). Down by the beach you can watch the Harbor Seals sunbathe, and along the coast there's... More

We stayed right on Oceanview Blvd. on our most recent visit and were not disappointed. The street name says it all. The homes along the Blvd. vary in style and all are charming with million plus dollar views. We looked at a couple for sale fliers. I want one. Anyway, the ocean paths run right along the coast here and... More

The views are just amazing and changing! It's fun to see the fishing boats out in the ocean. We also like to watch for the otters and seals.

In fact, if it seems familiar it is because it has been painted so often from every angle. It has it all: Flowers, rock and a dramatic sea. A perfect spot for bird watching or counting harbor seals. You may see artists at work as well. I bought a small landscape on the spot from Barry Marshal who was working... More

Hard to believe we were only minutes from the hustle and bustle of Monterrey, but we could stop, hike out on the rocks and watch the sea come alive with all sorts of wildlife! Stayed here for sunset and saw the sun melt into the pacific, then were treated to the lighthouse beacon! A memorable trip!

Pacific Grove and Monterey should receive a medal for the work they have done with their trail system. The trails only get better and more extensive. From our hotel at Lover's Point it is an easy stroll all the way into Monterey, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, and the "old" Spanish part of downtown near the conference center. (it's about 3... This is a view of the ocean and Monterey Bay you can enjoy by walking, driving or parking. Amazing sights and sounds. Also try to visit the Pt Pinos Lighthouse. It is the oldest still working on the Pacific coast and open for tours.
