Everyone loves otters, but what can be better by paddling past a raft of otters doing somersaults in the kelp or floating on their backs in the afternoon sun. They're just as curious about us as we are about them. I love looking down at the kelp forests gently billowing beneath me, glimpsing white billows of jellyfish from time to... More

Walked from Pacific Grove to Monterey along coast trail. Paused at this park. Great swim beach, rental of kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Nice restrooms. Big grassy lawn area to hang out and watch the stream of tourist cars parading along cliff-front road. If you find yourself in one of those cars, you really should pull in and take a break... More

Kids loved the mini beach and had fun with sandcastles.. We carried on with surrey bikescyclingndown the promenade. Pretty lovely here in Monterey! Made our holiday complete and the weather held out for us. We saw sea otters and harbour seals just enjoying the weather and beach too!

We ate dinner at The Beach House for locals sunset dinner. The food was yummy and the views beautiful. The park has picnic benches and a grassy area and did I say views?!

What a serene spot. Because of the rocky areas in some place, I would be cautious taking kids to THOSE spots. Otherwise, it's a great park. Great views. Easy to stop for a few minutes if you are driving through.

We loved the Lovers Point Park! The trail follows around the water where you can see the seals and otters! The beach area is kept clean and the picnic area was spotless!

Not ideal for young kids because of the rocky terrain, but very scenic. Will go again when our kids are older.
