I'm a local so I know. Safe, beautiful, convenient to restaurants and stores, great for scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, or just watching the sea life. Spectacular in the winter time when the waves are going off.

This is the park to visit in Pacific Grove. Nice setting looking back at the town and the bay. They just finished a complete remodel of the restaurant there and it is great. The restaurant has special early bird dinners that are worth the visit.

I've visited Pacific Grove on a number of occasions, and walking down to this park is always one of our favorite things to do. It's got great views of the ocean, nice walking/biking paths, and if you're brave, a beach area where you can actually go get your feet wet (brrr!). Most recently I attended a wedding here, and it... Very nice, with the promontory giving views back to the towns along the coast and to the ocean. There is a nice beach but small beach just below one side, with access by stairs. surfers , seals, sometimes sea otters can be seen. Public toilets, a large grassy area for picnics , with beautiful trees, and a rocky area at... More

We enjoyed walking around this park and climbing the rocks near the bay. We got to see sea lions and best of all sea otters. That was the one thing we had not seen on our trip and we were very happy we got to see them.

Nice little beach, rocks for exploring. Great place for pics of the waves crashing into the rocks. You can see whales on a clear day.

Loved staying at Lover's Point Inn and able to walk across the street to the park and beach. It's beautiful. Def. love this area way better than the state beach scene in Monterey!

Right in front of Borgs Motel is a pretty sea wall and steps down to a cool tiny beach (you can go down to the sand when the tide is low). Today we saw a huge pod of dolphins swimming, very cool! There is a very nice trail above the beach, along the road. It's just so pretty and full... More

The Monterey Peninsula has many cities with their own distinct atmosphere. People visit Monterey for the history, Pebble Beach for it's golf, and Carmel-by-the-Sea for Clint Eastwood. Many people skip Pacific Grove, don't be one of them. PG has many fine restaurants, shopping and beautiful views of the bay. Monday they have a Farmers Market, and if you are here... More
