Bike it

Just a short bike ride from downtown Monterey. But what a difference a couple miles make in the scenery. Rocky points and surf. Amazing scenery

One of the most beautiful places in the world to sit and meditate. A romantic spot for exchanging vows.

Lovers Point is a definite place to visit while in the Monterey Bay area. We spent 2 hours walking along the beach and watching the sea otters! Bring your binoculars. Lots to do in the area - bike/surrey rentals, rock climbing, volleyball, bbq, and walking paths. 2 hour Parking zones along the street. Snack bar near the public restroom and... More

This is a great spot for a day at the beach / park. They've got picnic tables and BBQ pits available for use. There's an awesome little bay where the water comes in and it's super picturesque. Get there early cause parking is somewhat iffy at best.

Beautiful views, great for photos, great for climbing around on rocks like little kids! Connected to Lovers Point Park which I reviewed separately. Saw artists painting while we were there. Loved it and hated to leave. Parking onsite if you don't walk from your hotel.

Watched whales cavorting for about 2 hours. Spouting and breaching. Less windy than Asilomar side. Good paths to walk. Great wave watching.

Great little area with small hikes everywhere! Sea Lion birthing habitats and tide pools everywhere.

This is a nice place to lounge at the beach and or walk on the path way and enjoy the ocean view. The beaches can get a little crowded, but there is enough room for everyone :)

But really believe those warning signs. People die on those rocks every year. Truly spectacularly beautiful

There is somewhat more free parking in the area of Lovers' Point than in most areas around Monterey. There's a beach, a grassy area, bicycle and kayak rental, and restrooms. There are prettier spots along the shore, but few with easier access.
