Let me start by saying that I've just moved to Pacific Grove, CA and the honeymoon is not over and what I've experienced so far leads me to believe it will last forever. Given that, let me say that Lover's Point is a place along the winding and very scenic Monterey Bay coastline from which you can bask on the... More

We had rented a house a few blocks from Lovers Point. Loved getting up early and walking along the coast. Could have been so much better because the weekend we were there there was an event and much of the trail was blocked off. But still if we were up early we got through it. If you like otters and... This is more like a dated motel, thin walls, many coats of paint, very tiny bathroom, and maybe not the cleanest of rooms. Although continental breakfast is included , I would plan for a breakfast some where else. But saying all this, the location is spectacular. It is walking distance to the little boutique restaurants and shops in Pacific Grove... More

Parking was easy. It was a nice walk along the trail. Peaceful and quiet. Lots of rocks that one can climb on it with minimum effort.

at the end, you can walk through the rocks for the best view. Suggest you stay to the left on the climb for easier access.

I stayed at one of the oceanfront motels right next door. For a reason. The views are spectacular. Tons of access for anybody to swim, kayak, take pictures of whales, or whatever. The point is lovely and stunning beyond description, and when you are there, you understand why it HAS been for decades. Period.

We stopped here for an hour before heading to San Fran. The walk round to Lovers point is beautiful, looking out over the bay and towards the sea. Walking on the rocks of the point is fab, we had fun walking in and around taking lots of photos as we went. We managed to get to the small beach and... More

Visiting Monterey Bay and its adjacent scenic spots, we never skipped Lovers Point, which is only minutes of drive from Cannery Row and the Aquarium. There are fine beaches on its both sides. Though very very kids played in the water while we were there, I saw at least five surfers enjoying themselves in the water by the rocks. The... More
