This is one of the few if only places you can watch a SUNRISE over a body of saltwater in In California. Get your coffee from the local coffee on Lighthouse about 20 minutes before sunrise and go pick a spot on the rocks at the point looking across the Bay toward Seaside.

Stand/sit at the point, listen to the ocean, and have someone take your picture. Very scenic, even for the natives. I lived in P.G. for about two years a long time ago.

Oh the memories, the things that I learned to do, the things that I learned about in the 50s. I learned to swim right there in the bay in 1958. There once was a beautiful little pool here, which turned into a volley ball court, which turned back into a pool and back yet one more time. I grew up... More

We took Baby and carriage and very carefully crossed the scenic drive to reach Lovers Point. The walk was great and the surroundings idyllic. The cypress trees were architectural and stunning. The sea views were intoxicating. It was a pleasant winter weekend, lots of people around but by no means crowded. It's an amazing, low key (non commercial) spot. It's quiet... More

We revisited the site near Lover's Point where we were married, and took to evening walks there before turning it. It's beautiful and, at least while we were there, not too crowded.

Worth a look even on a foggy day - the view of the coast is just so beautiful. On a sunny day, the grill is usually open and you can grab a burger or bite to eat. There is a sandy beach area where you can bring the kids to play - and also a grassy area up top for... More

I've never been down to this part of the point and absolutely loved it. The air was fresh and crisp in the morning. The night life is quiet. A great place to go for a nightly stroll around the park.
