We enjoyed visiting this winery last month. It was a nice place with a professional staff, we had some tasty wine there and they had a nice patio, which was very helpful to give our 3 yr. old some time to run off some energy.

We did the wine tasting and found several wines that we really liked. The staff went out of their way to inform us about their winery and the processes that go into making the wine. The self guided tour was very informational also. A must for wine lovers.

only good can be said about this place. we started with a Wine tasting which offers 7 different wines (2 premium wines at extra charge), and then on to dinner. food was GREAT!! from Appetizers to soup to entrees to desert, and of course the wine. service was awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable waiters.

Since the chanage of management they have poor communication with their members. We had a bad experience.

We love to visit wineries and while purusing the info rack at our hotel I stumbled upon their brochure and there was a coupon for a 25 cent wine tasting. Why not? The winery is in a very commercial area, not at all what you'd expect. After some hesitation, we walked in and were blown away! Definitely take the free,... More

Herzog winery has a nice combination of self-guided tour for behind-the-scenes information, well-stocked gift shop, and friendly tasting bar. You either pay $6 for 4 tastings or waive the fee if you purchase a bottle of wine. We learned quite a bit from the tour, and enjoyed the tastings.

So we were staying in Oxnard and wanted to visit some wineries. It was Tuesday so it was slim pickings. We decided to go to Herzog. Following our mapquest instructions, we thought it was wrong. The outside of the building looks like an office and it is located in a commercial area. Once we walked in though, it was a... More

I had never been to a winery that made kosher wine so the tour was particularly interesting as she pointed out which areas were limited to certain workers. Wine was okay. I did buy a dessert wine. Large retail area. Restaurants seemed popular place but I had no plans to eat there so I continued on to other places.
