The Channel Islands Harbor is a nice quiet venue without the noisy and smelly attribute of many harbors. Lots of nice boats in moorings to see and walk around. Can take tours to the Channel Islands from here as well as some fishing trips. A few restaurants also. Quiet and peaceful to be enjoyed. ...

Channel Islands harbor has so much to offer! Kayaking, paddle boarding, charter fishing trips to the local islands just to name a few! The Vintage Marina Patners' along with other harbor businesses, have a harbor cleanup a few times a year, where participants clean up trash from the water and surrounding ground areas on foot, kayaks etc, and are treated... Small visitor center that offers a few specimens and a 20 minute film on the Channel Islands. The film was very informative on the history and nature of the islands. Worth going to see if you want to learn more about them.

I have been here for a couple of hour. It´s a pity that the harbor is not very uptodate anymore. A lot of restaurants and offices are closed and it could almost be classified as ghost harbor somewhere... anyway it´s a nice place and you can enjoy the silence and the small locals restaurants that offer seafoods and sweeties...

Visit the park next door to the Hampton Inn. A nice quiet walk way, a great place at sunset. Then visit "The Lookout" for a great meal!

I am aware of the places that used to be there of yesteryear. I went this past weekend for the last saturday of concerts at the Harbor, which happens for the month of July and August, for the most part. It was sad to see that the Casa Serena was condemned and there's no more lobster trap, but the views... More

Great place to stay and play. Don't miss the Sunday morning farmer's market for a taste of California. Have a cocktail at the Rudder Room and watch the sunset and meet some local color, then head to Toppers for pizza. Also there are many hotels to accommodate any budget.

Nice area to walk or ride a bike. Used to have Segway's you could rent. You can rent electric boats , paddle boats or kayaks to cruise around the harbor. More adventurous, rent a jet ski and go out into the ocean.

Great area. Lots to see and do. Harbor is almost always clean thanks to the Edison plant pull water through the channels. Good place to visit, fish, whatever you want to do from both sides of the channels.
