We were invited to the Art of Bugatti exhibition. My husband John Lawson has been actively helping to build the Bugatti100p reproduction aeroplane, which is part of the exhibition there this summer 2014. After 4 years of very hard work, I am so proud to see his achievement displayed in perhaps the best museum ever! The collection of cars is... More

As part of our international museum conference, we got a chance to visit the Mullin Museum in Oxnard today. We were greeted by the most obnoxious woman ever that set the tone for a bad experience. She barked at us like we were school kids who had no idea how to act in a transportation museum. It was quite offensive... More

Feel transported back to the 1920's and tour beautiful cars restored to probably better than when they were new. This museum is only open to the public 2 Saturdays a month so check the website before planning your visit.

This is a definite must see when in Oxnard. You will need to make your reservation in advance. We went on a Saturday and arrived shortly after they opened. Plenty of free parking and easy to find. I recommend you watch the video first to get the background then take a tour conducted by one of the docents. We had... More

Terrific small museum but very interesting even to those not into cars. Worth the time to go out of your way to see.

I surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this museum. It is top quality!! We were lucky enough to get a guided tour. Check out the "race track" built right in to the floor that encircles the entire museum (upstairs and down). Attention to detail is amazing - even in to the restrooms :~)

Yes, there are automotive museums with larger collections. Yes, there are automotive museums where you can on a whim just drop in. Yes, there are automotive museums where the entrance fee is even smaller that at the Mullin. However, there is no finer automotive museum in the country, particularly if you love magnificent French automobiles. The Mullin wants you to... More

The Mullin Automotive Museum is tucked away in an industrial park in Oxnard. The collection of mostly French autos from the 1930's and 1940's is spectacular! Even for someone who does not know the technical terms for engines etc., the cars are works of art. The museum is open two Saturdays a month, and well worth a visit.

If you love cars (primarily) from the 1930's, this is the place for you. Although the museum is known for the owner's appreciation of French cars of that era, there is also a number of examples of other cars. A few examples on display are Delehaye, Bugatti, Talbot and Voisin. All of these cars are housed in a climate controlled,... More
