We bought a groupon for a 3/4 fishing trip and we had an issue scheduling the trip originally, but MANY MANY THANKS to Liz for working with us to get the schedule we wanted. We went out on a Friday since my son was out of school and it was just he (11 years old) and I. We looked on... More

A group of friends chartered a boat out of Channel Islands Sports Fishing Center this past week. Had a great time and caught many fish. Boat: We went out on the Mirage, it fits 24 but we went with 16 which was much more comfortable. Very good size boat, two large bait tanks, large freezer for catch, two bathrooms, sufficient... More

We took our boys ( ages 12 & 8) fishing on July 27th. We had a great time and the deck crew is fantastic. The check in process takes longer than it should (hence why they want you there an hour before). We didn't eat the food on board, but it looked decent (burgers and such). They had 2 heads... More

One of the best places to find the best boats and captains to fish the channel islands, lots of parking, be careful not to park under the lights or your car will have this big white splats on it from seagulls and pelicans. The tackle shop is sufficient it closes closed at 10:00pm sharp. Bathrooms can use more service. Lots... More

Took the afternoon whale-watching tour yesterday. Fantastic. Everyone working at this business was very friendly and helpful. The Captain was very informative and courteous. He did his best to give us a smooth cruise and find us some whales, and he did so spectacularly. We got to commune with a mother and child pair of Humpbacks for about an hour... More

I’ve done quite a bit of sport fishing from Santa Monica Bay to Baja California, and, outside of a hand full of 6-pack charters, this was the best deep sea experience I have ever had. The skipper put us on fish and the area is very productive. With that said, it was really the two deck hands that worked on... More

I really liked the Mirage boat. Captain Tucker is a great captain who will make sure you catch lots of fish!

While I've had wonderful times with other boats within the Channel Island Sport fishing, this has to be the worst trip / crew I have ever the displeasure of meeting. My wife called the phone number listed on their website to make reservations. At the time of making reservations I heard her ask the woman on the phone, "Is rod... More

My husband and I are spending a week in a beach house on Hollywood Beach, and due to the overcast weather, we decided to book a 3/4 day trip. We were not disappointed, well, maybe a little. I'll tell you why. Ambiance Think Deadliest Catch tv show characters. That's what it is like aboard the boat. I was the only... More

I went with my boyfriend on the 3/4 day trip on the Erna B and was not enthusiastic because I get sea sick and am a huge baby about putting bait on and taking fish off the hook. Well, I took one anti sea sickness pill, the kind they sell, and felt great! The captains, Sean, Mike and Bob were... More
