The Whale Watching employee told me that we would be notified the evening before our trip date if it was going to be cancelled due to inclement weather. We were NOT phoned the evening beforehand. We had to leave at 6 am to arrive for a 9 am departure. It was difficult to find as the building is blocked from... More

They are a very well organized service. The boat was very nice and large. We ran into where the whales were not surfacing very much but channel island stayed out longer than originally planned to follow the whales and gives us our moneys worth. We got to see little more of the whales because they stayed out longer. We also... More

Tour was disappointing. Didn't see much sea life except Sea Gulls. Should be told that it's more of a boat ride than a whale watching tour. The narrative of the history of the islands was good. I had a Groupon so price wasn't too bad. I don't think I'd pay full price for this.

In all fairness, this would be a very different review if the water had been calm today and we had seen whales, dolphins, or really, any marine life. I recognize that the lack of those circumstances is no fault of the company but the way our trip was handled could have been very different and that would have made a... More

Excellent 3 hr boat ride with the most number of whales and dolphins seen, much more than the other whale watching trips near Los Angeles county. It always amazes me seeing all these magnificent creatures doing exhibitions at sea. Of course, the company does not guarantee sightings all the time but in the 3x (months of Feb, July and this... Saw plenty of whales and a few dolphins. Got some good information from the boat captain and on board volunteer naturalist from the National Park Service. Great to see animals in their natural habitat. Nice smooth water, large boat. Could use a bit more protection from the sun. Make sure to bring a hat and/or umbrella for shade. It can... More

We had a great trip on Sunday afternoon, March 15th. The boat was full, but not too crowded. We were able to see several groups of dolphins and whales. The boat captain gave commentary, explaining about migration patterns, etc. Once we spotted some whales, he came up to them closely, but not too closely, and we followed for a while.... More

This was wonderful. Its about 45 min boat ride to the area to view whales. My husband had never seen the whales dive and see their tail in the air. He really enjoyed this trip. We had an unusual experience as there must have been 8 or 9 Orcas following our boat. They said this was experience that most people... More

We have been on many whale watching trips all over the world. This was better than some but by no means the best. We purchased the trip on a Groupon but to be honest I think no-one paid what was advertised as the full price because half-price vouchers seemed to be available for everyone. So that seems a bit of... More

You never know what you'll see on any wildlife excursions... That being said, this morning's outing was truly exceptional - we've never seen the whales so active! The sight of breaching whales were amazing - and to be honest, I lost count on how many humpbacks we saw. Add in all the dolphins, seal lions and birds...made it a memorable... More
