If you like red wines, you must not miss a visit to Rancho Ventavo Cellars! The tasting room is located in one of the several restored Victorian homes in Oxnard's Heritage Square. The wines are world class! The tasting room is staffed by winemaker George and his wife, Faye. Not only do they make fabulous red wines, but they are... More

Visited the RVC tasting room on a sunny Saturday with girlfriends. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Faye was very welcoming, knowledgeable about the wines, and informative about the area. We all bought a bottle, and a few of the clever gifts available in their shop. Highly recommended for the tasting room as well as the delicious wines.

Barely got in the door and we were told we had to get out because we had our 3 yr. old with us. Children are not allowed in wine tasting rooms, they said. Funny, I've had him in wine tasting rooms all over CA, including this city, and many other states. We weren't up at the bar, we were in... More

Stopped by today and had a great experience. Faye is a delightful and knowledgeable proprietor who also went above and beyond when we bought a gift for a friend of one of their terrific signs, and she wrapped it complete with bow! We tasted 10 red wines between us. we also learned about the areas they came from and the... More

Cute historic building. $10 tasting fee per person. Servers were friendly even though it was crowded. Overall the bottles were very expensive and most of them not worth the price. We did however splurge on 2 bottles that were delicious. Would go just for a tasting and not plan on buying wines in the future.

Faye gave plenty of information on how she and her husband produce their wines and she answered all inquiries. Very comfortable place. I looked around this historic building on Heritage Square and loved the building. Bought a couple of bottles of wine too. Do walk Heritage Square and see the historic buildings.

Faye and George are wonderful hosts and can teach you all about George's great red wines. Ask for my faves John's Zin and Mourvedre. You can do a self guided or docent tour of the park, which contains refurbished homes, chapel, water tower and other turn of the century structures once owned by pioneering families in Oxnard. Now these buildings... More

They're open Friday to Sunday 11 - 6 and most holidays also. If you want to try more wine ask Faye and... More

This is the most inviting winery we have ever been to. The owners, Faye and George make you feel like their home is your home. The winery is located in the historic section of Oxnard called Heritage Square. They have a nice porch to sit and enjoy your wine. It is a very peaceful setting. They only produce red wines... More
