Took the kids horseback riding at the horse ranch inside the park at CT Trail Rides for $45 an hour. It was great! The trail is very scenic and beautiful. The guide was friendly and fun! You can also go for a 2 hr ride for $90. They only take cash. $5 entrance fee to the park. This attraction is... More

I've been to Orange County many times but never visited this park. Open space, so green with a small train to tour the grounds and horses in small, med. and large size. Go to the back of the park to find the nature center, with all native animals. From Beavers to Bears to Mt. Lions, all rescued or injured and... More

Irvine Park is a delight. We walk, mountain bike, hike with the grandkids and enjoy the several attractions the park offers like the zoo, the pony rides and the boats. All fun. Hint: come near sunset and you might see some of the park's hidden wildlife.

My 4 year old and 1 year old loved the pony ride and the train. The zoo was great too. It's a beautiful setting and fun for the whole family. We will definitely visit again!

We visited Irvine Regional Park in February, 2014 as we wanted to do some geocaching, hiking, and basically get out to the great outdoors. This is a beautiful park with lots of hiking areas, geocaches, picnic areas, a zoo, large open space areas (read lawns) and peacocks! The area is very family friendly and pet friendly but it can get... More

This is one of those places that you could easily overlook if you didn't know it was there -- but DON'T miss it. There is SO MUCH to do here; including a zoo, train rides, duck ponds, all for a nominal parking fee. There's also fishing, biking, etc., etc., etc...if you've never checked it out, you owe it to yourself!

Nice variety to see/do. Pond with geese/ducks, pony rides, small train rides. Lots of picnic and open grassy areas for playing games. Good bike riding trails. There is a fee for entrance.

Although a bit of a drive (from my house) this park was totally worth it. The zoo is perfect for young kids, very inexpensive and I was quite impressed with the variety and amount of animals. The train ride was a hit for my 2 and 4 year old. They also loved feeding the ducks and playing on the playground.... More

It's really big and has so many activities including zoo, fishing, biking, railroad, and special monthly events. It's also a great place to run. Very easy to schedule large and small events or just enjoy the day with family. Check out the website before going to see all that is offered for each season.
