Only man made snow when we visited but made the most of our skiing time! Had a great time. Lawrence our ski instructor was great - very patient! Took us to all the slopes he knew we could tackle! Thanks Lawrence!

Back at Squaw for the third year and have been frustrated first by the wait for snow and then by the resort management not providing accurate reports on ski conditions and lift operation. For example on Jan 22 they advised, at 4.07pm, that some upper mountain lifts would be operating - but the lifts close at 4.00pm! Assuming they were... More

Worth a trip up the mountain by gondola just for the view, stunning. When we went up in july there was still loads of snow and it was very quiet. The various walks from the ski area are worth it or you can just walk a wee while find a spot and take in natures beauty. The restaurant at the... More

Even though there is little snow this year, the Squaw Ski Corp has done extraordinary work to keep snow on the mountain.

But we'd ski anyway. We love to ski and really the weather is just weird this year.

I have been skiing Squaw for many years and have been skiing at several resorts in the U.S. and Canada. Squaw has runs for the beginner to most advanced. It is a very friendly place, especially with the recent change in ownership.

Tram ride to the top is pricey but spectacular. Once on top, there is a small Olympic museum, and several restaurants, usually very busy . The ice skating rink is on top of the world and on a clear day, you truly can see forever. Weather permitting, there are hiking trails, too, especially nice this winter, due to lack of... More

I have season passes to most of the resorts around Lake Tahoe and all I can say is "Squaw feels like home". Even if the snow gods are frowning, just search for "Things to do in Lake Tahoe" like the snoventure parks, horse rides, huskie dog sleds and heaps of other things to do.
