Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

Oceanside is the best kept secret in California. It has evolved into a nice visitors community with many new micro breweries and restaurants. Pacific 333 is an amazing steak and seafood restaurant, adjacent to the pier. A new 4 star hotel is in the process of being built close together pier, in addition to the Marriott and Wyndham properties already... More

Great spot to hang on the beach, play in the water, watch the surfers. Easy walk to many great bars and restaurants in downtown Oceanside, or a short walk along the beach to the Oceanside Harbor and Marina.

Stopped in for a visit to the pier while driving through the area. Lots of fishermen up and down each side and they were actually catching fish. Rudy's restaurant at the end of the pier. Worth the stop of you are in the area however parking can be a challenge. Get there early or later in the afternoon.

This pier was close to where I spent the night, woke up early and went didn't to the Pier. You can walk out to where the surfers are catching their waives and watch right up close. It's very cool! The only reason for 4 instead of 5 was there was a few vagrants on the pier.. Just stay away from... More

great spot to watch surfers and play in the water yourself. And we always end up paying to park. But they have bathrooms and food and rentals so it is all good. Had some good seafood at the fish house there, very casual. You can also fish from the pier without a license and that seemed popular.

It is a bit of a long walk, but worth it for the view. There are several benches to rest and restrooms. We were rewarded with views of a seal lion and dolphins jumping nearby.

Oceanside is one of the prettiest beach towns I have been to--the palm trees are wonderful--the weather is great. Watched the surfers, walked the pier and ate at Ruby's. Wonderful town to visit from San Diego.

Wonderful way to spend some time and enjoy the surfers and the surf from the beautiful views the pier provides. Fish, eat, watch the beautiful sunsets, maybe see dome dolphins playing in the waves, orjust explore. It's all available here. Great vendors in the area below the pier, restaurant at the very end, stroll along the strand or maybe catch... More
