Founded in 1998 by Dave & Emily Miner along with his folks Ed & Norma, Miner is defined first and foremost by a sensational portfolio of wines, wines consistently characterized by and committed to individualistic style and uncommon quality. In only a few short years, Miner has identified, sought and secured a number of California's finest vineyard sites to produce and showcase a wide array of varietals. Each wine is crafted in a style to encapsulate the distinctive elements and the indelible fingerprints of their respective vineyards. This combination of excellent vineyard sites along with passionate and thoughtful winemaking injects the necessary components for creating profoundly joyful wines. « less

Pleasant experience, right off the Silverado Trail - wine tasting room up flight of stairs (there is an elevator) Nice view. Small. Their flagship wine The Oracle (2008) Only $90 a bottle (lol). Most of their wines run between $20-$50. I thought the wine tasting fee of $25 was a little high, unfortunately, too many of these smaller wineries are... More

We have visited many of the wineries in the valley and by far Miner Family consistently rates as the best in our minds. The staff make you feel welcome, they are happy to share the wines with you and often you will see Dave Miner in the tasting room. On top of the great staff and friendly service the team... More

Stop by an enjoy a beautiful place, great wine and fine people! Really loved the Chardonnay, but joined the club because of the Pinot Noir.

Had the opportunity to have dinner at the winery and meet David Miner. This is a special place run by a great family and I cannot recommend you visit there strongly enough.

Stopped for a wine tasting. Warm & friendly atmosphere. Wines varied some more interesting than others, all pretty good. May not repeat, only because there are so many to see. Worth the stop if you are in the area.

Hip tasting room. Great view from the balcony. Great wines! Great host! Enjoyed a short tour which included a barrel tasting. Minor is on the short list of "go back" spots!

Personal touch, outstanding views from the large front porch, & superb wines make this stop a must on your visit. Their 09 Cab was outstanding...several of their wines have been highlighted at White House functions.

Miner wines are fantastic, and visiting the winery is always a treat. Be sure to ask to see the caves and do some barrel tasting! Highly recommended.

I do not claim to know a lot about wine but one thing is for sure: I don't like napa valley wines. The Sauvignon blanc is almost undrinkable. Very sharp with a nasty grapefruit aftertaste. The Chardonnay is undrinkable. The Pinot noire however are worth a tasting. I certainly wouldn't buy any bottles though.

Extremely rude service. I have been to so many wineries, but this one is outstanding in its NASTY service. I never had such rude service at any winery before. We came in to taste their wines, but got attitude from the workers. Very smug and mean. I think they are prejudiced. I advise to skip this one. AVOID!!
