Our driver in Napa showed us to the grocery for souveniers and a snack. What a quaint little store with a fine selection of sea salts, mustards, and honey. I will be re-ordering my favorites from this fabulous store!

This place is an absolute gem on the side of the highway. I was expecting a grocery store feel, but it's more like a fresh little farmers market with a tremendous spread of homemade sandwiches, quesadillas, cheeses, pastas, desserts, and a million other things. They have sodas in the glass bottles and the REAL Coca-Cola aka "Mexi-coke". The grilled vegetable... More

If you are planning to have a picnic at a winery, this is the place to buy all your food. They have an excellent selection of meats, cheeses, bread and condiments. Their sandwiches and salads also look good, but we didn't have any. The deli-man is very knowledgeable about all the locally produced foods, so take him at his word.

This is a must when you want to grab a quick bite to eat and have lunch at one of the many wineries near by for a picnic lunch this place is HEAVEN. I bought marcona almonds, great cheese, crackers and wine and had to have a fabulous sandwich between stops that didn't serve food. Who ever goes to Napa/Oakville... More

Two words: don't bother! It looks cute and quaint-trust me that's all it has going for it. We used to come here many years ago..yes a bit pricy-but many delicious options and we'd bring home lots of nibbles. Something changed-and not for the better. The food looks ok-nothing special, nothing better than Whole Foods (in fact far below their quality).... More

We've been stopping at Oakville grocery for over 20 years when we come to Napa. My husband just stands back when we enter, as he says my eyes glaze over like a kid let loose in a candy or toy store. I love all the local made items. It's gourmet heaven. It's the perfect place to stop to get a... More

My husband and I stopped here and picked up sandwiches in the middle of our wine-tasting adventure. The sandwiches were outstanding and just what we needed to coat our stomachs! I had the crab cake, and my husband had the fried chicken. Fresh and delicious! Be warned though, they are a little pricey. $10 - 15 each.

This is just one of those things where the history of the place is so interesting, that you need to go... even if you don't buy anything. I mean, founded in 1881, it's the oldest continually operating grocery store in California. That's pretty impressive. Besides, you pass it on the way to a lot of the wineries. Yes, things are...
