My husband and I stopped here and picked up sandwiches in the middle of our wine-tasting adventure. The sandwiches were outstanding and just what we needed to coat our stomachs! I had the crab cake, and my husband had the fried chicken. Fresh and delicious! Be warned though, they are a little pricey. $10 - 15 each.

This is just one of those things where the history of the place is so interesting, that you need to go... even if you don't buy anything. I mean, founded in 1881, it's the oldest continually operating grocery store in California. That's pretty impressive. Besides, you pass it on the way to a lot of the wineries. Yes, things are... We stopped here to pick up some stuff for lunch. It was packed and the line was out the door. Parking was difficult and we decided maybe Valentine's Day wasn't the best day to stop here. I've heard about this place for years and have driven by dozens of times. I think it used to be a gas station once... More

It's a fun place to stop for a bite and buy a few things. They make delicious salad, sandwiches, pasta and desserts, etc. Lots of good eats to buy as gifts. There are tables in the back for sitting down to enjoy your food.

We wanted a light lunch to go and this place had been recommended. We bought a couple of deli dishes that were more than adequate and ate outside in a pleasant garden. Construction going on next door will not be there forever!

This is by far the best place to stop at to pick up lunch. Their cheeses, sandwiches, salads, olive bar etc will give you tons of great choices. Love it!

Local deli with fresh pastries, sandwiches, cheeses, salads, breads, and condiments of all kinds (mustard, vinegar, olive oil, tapenade). Good wine selection including half bottles great for picnics. They even have Coke in the glass bottle. Fresh coffee bar too. They have picnic tables in the back so just park in the very back of the lot. Nice views of... More

We took a tour at a winery and fellow guests recommended Oakville Grocery for a lunch stop. So happy we listened. Loved the store...lots of speciality foods, great cheeses and meats for a picnic at a winery. It took a while to get the four sandwiches we ordered but it was worth the wait. Not an inexpensive lunch by any... More
