Lets go Oakland

For the baseball fan who wants to see the game. Red hot team these past years. Let's go!! Love Round Table pizza. Beers resonably priced.

Went for the game --conveniently accessible by BART, but it is definitely old and in need of replacement. Old, but not charming such as Fenway or Wrigley Fields.

Went to the Oakland Colliseum for some baseball recently. Felt like I stepped into the Roman Colliseum. What a dump! Classic 1960s design: concrete all over and dank inside. Concessions - poor. Food - mediocre. Condition of sitting area - dilapidated. Hip waders are a must if you go near the toilets. Floods.... Generally the stadium looked like it had... More

We recently went to an A’s game at O.co stadium. We had a good time on a nice Sunday afternoon game. But as with everything there is some good and bad with it. First the good: The fans are just cool. The get behind their team and cheer them on. They were into it, and openly welcomed us. They dance,... More

Not only is this ballpark old and rundown, it's terrible from the perspective of actually watching baseball. It is connected to a BART station, so getting here is convenient, even if the actual location is somewhat depressing. Concessions were in dimly lit halls under the seating. Scoreboards were tiny, very high up, and in need of replacement. Vendors were enthusiastic,... More

This was #25 on our tour. I learned visiting this park that the problem with having a bucket list of seeing a game in every stadium, is that in order to do it you have to go the crappy ones. I don't know how this park gets any good reviews, unless someone has never been to another park. The only... More

Here's the good things about seeing baseball in Oakland: Easy to get there via BART Nice choices of food Friendly fans but... here's the not-so-good It's a football stadium and not built for baseball, so the sight-lines are terrible. The scoreboard is awful. Truly awful. So is the music. And even the high-priced seats have no cushions. don't forget a... More

If you love baseball as much as I do, you won't mind the somewhat dated appearance of the Oakland Coliseum. If you are looking for glitz and glamor, this might not be your venue. If you are looking for a good time at the old ballpark, you'll be fine. We had great seats right behind home plate. Had none of... More

We went to see Oakland As vs the Baltimore Orioles. It was our first baseball game and it was a fantastic experience. It's truly USAs national game - and you get a real sense of tradition. There was a great atmosphere. The As fans are really passionate and that really helps make it a great experience. They are also a... More

We went to see Giants and A's while the in San Francisco area. My family actually enjoyed the A's game more, even though the park is much older. The crowd was more fun and friendly at the A's game. Parking was cheap and easy. The neighborhood is not great.
