If you're visiting the East Bay Area and looking for 2-3 hours of entertainment for your toddler(s), Children's Fairyland is just the place. Located on the shore of Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland, it's like a time capsule of the 1950's and in a good way.

A place children will enjoy. Toddlers to school age. Great for birthday parties. Family will enjoy and small buildings for the children to visit.

Perhaps I am biased, but this charming place is perfect for your toddler without being too overwhelming. It isn't too "overdone", like other theme parks. It's a simple throwback that hasn't really been updated, and that is FINE; your kids will love it. A few little rides, a few little exhibits, a few little different areas to play, a few... More

We were in town for few days and it was a must for our 2 little ones. It is an ok place for young kids, not fancy or having the Orlando parks infrastructure, it is rather basic but way better than a regular park. It has a very historical flavor, basic games but kids will love it.. I did too.... More

While my niece seemed to enjoy this place - its charm is that it is built for small kids, our adult eyes longed for better care taking... word was that since we attended a few years back, renovations have occurred... if so, it may be worth the trip.

Great place to take your under 7 year old kids. There is plenty to do and keep them occupied. Great rides for the little ones.

My niece had her fifth birthday at Fairyland. The cupcakes,,ice cream, gift bags, and cookies were all very nice and the separate party area with a slide very convenient. There is tons to do, lots of play centers plus puppet shows, story time, and magicians . There is a train and a food center. Area well secured. Great play day... More

I have been wanting to go to Fairyland for a long time, but never had my children with me on my visits. I finally got in! The retro fairy tail theme park is very cute! My 7 year old was probably not as impressed as I was, but we certainly had fun riding the train. The height limit for the kiddie... More

We went here for the day (children are 5yrs and 4yrs) I had to drag them out of there!! They had a great day with everything really aimed at their age. My only negative feedback would be re the animals. I didn't feel they needed to be there, no one was really interested in them and they would be so... More
