The Paramount is beautiful. It's my favorite place in Oakland. Great for concerts, as the low 3,000 seat capacity ensures good seats no matter where you are. I've sat up close for Ray Charles, midway back on the main floor for Earth, Wind & Fire, and the sides of the balcony for the Whispers. Enjoyed the sights and sounds each... more

The Paramount is a full-restored art deco theatre. It is gorgeous inside and is worth a look even if you are not attending one of the events held there. During the summer it is a great place to see films like Gone With the Wind, Citizen Kane, or the Wizard of Oz on the big screen. Before the films they... more
