Some good restaurants and shops, but has a way to go before it could be called a destination. Not much there and usually has some type of activity that one does not want to see.

Jacklondon Square has it all. Fine hotels, restaurants, wine shops, a kayak shop where you can rent boat, and a bike shop to rent bikes. You can walk, you can dance to musicians in the square. Enjoy the Farmers Market. Take a ride on FDR's historic watch, take a ferry to the city. If you can't have a good time... More

Talk about WONDERFUL Food and Gracious and Attentive Service...this place has it ALL. We went in on a Friday evening to hear the Entertainment in the Lounge. It was a mix of Jazz and Blues and some "standards" from a small group with a Great Songstress named Marcella Parker Hooks. She has a drummer and a piano player with her.... More

Walked around here for a while before heading out to the airport. Very quiet and uneventful around lunchtime during the week. Food was excellent at Jack's Oyster Bar.

For many years Jack London Square was just a terrific place to go to the farmer's market on Sunday, check out a restaurant that was sure to be gone soon, or just walk. Everything's changed now! Many new restaurants, lots of people walking, a real energy that was not there before. Don't miss this treat. Too - ample parking, hurrah.

World Market, at the northwest end of the Square, is great. High-end restaurants, bowling alley, ferry to San. Fran. and sports bar readily available.

While there are some empty storefronts, there are a lot of good interesting restaurants. The ferry to San Francisco docks here. Lots of outdoor craft markets, farmers' markets, Ben & Jerry's, many sidewalk outdoor dining locations

The majority of the Square consists of restaurants only. Would have liked to do some local shopping.

This is just the kind of place you need to be when doing a business trip in the Bay Area. It has good places to eat, a bit of eclectic shopping and the Farmer's Market on Sunday is just great. When I go to Oakland, I try to make some time to unwind here.
