Me and my wife recently moved to Oakhurst from San Leandro, CA. We were enchanted with the acting done during our visit. We watched ''Odd Couple'' (female version). I always like the TV series with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall. We can't forget Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau too. Anyway this turned out be quite well done. The town of... More

Visited the Golden Chain Theater to see "The Odd Couple, Female version." The staff was very friendly and helpful getting us a table where four handicapped seniors could sit comfortably. The actors were very lively and carried the play along well. The saloon had some snacks, sodas and an assortment of adult beverage. Pleasant drive there and back from Fresno... More

A group of 8 of us went. We left during intermission, which I'm conflicted about. I love to support community theatre, and all their hearts are in the right place, which is why I give them the average rating. But the acting was bad, so bad. I wish the seating wasn't tables. They use headset microphones, which I thought was... More

I am astonished by the talent, creativity and entertainment in the performance of Godspell I saw! I am from Southern California and our local theater is blessed by lots of talent because of the proximity to Hollywood. Here was a large cast and each member could sing, dance, act with enormous charm. I laughed! I cried! Go!

Seriously. Wow. The quality of the acting and singing we experienced at Golden Chain Theatre's production of "Godspell" was outstanding! Having been to several productions at community playhouses in large cities, we were pleasantly surprised by such a high caliber performance put on by our own small community theatre. Our only regret is that we hadn't seen a show here... More

who knew you could see recent movies on the way to Yosemite! this movie theater is just so cute - several rooms for movies, but they may not actually be bigger than your own TV room at home - it's so much fun - no worries about crowds or finding a good seat! we loved it.

We saw The Miracle Worker, performance about the life of Helen Keller and the girl who taught her to communicate. Very enjoyable and learned a lot about Helen Keller. Well worth the visit.

Enjoy popcorn and high melodrama in this great little theater. The whole family can enjoy booing the villain and cheering the heroine.

We attended the final showing of Jack the Ripper as our first visit to the theater. Our tickets were $10.00, how do you beat that? The performance was really really good, the stage settings and costumes very professional. Mind you, this is a different kind of place, it is a historic theater in the mountains so don't expect anything typical.... More
