I like everything about it except the parking. It is a very dog friendly village with several places thoughtful enough to provide drinking water for the pups. There are several restaurants including a dog friendly one I have yet to visit. There is something for everyone no matter the sex or age. charming shops as well as snack and candy... More

To go kayaking here is wonderful. The service was wonderful as they took the kayacks down and helped us in easily. These were the most comfortable kayaks I've been in. The water was so clean. We got to see seals up close and some beautiful houses . Might go back again and take out a motor boat.

Wonderful place to enjoy the beach, shopping and dining. There is the Balboa Fun Zone (less than what it used to be in it's 1910's heyday), with arcade games and some attractions. Don't forget to enjoy a frozen banana!

This is a fun place. Bikes, fishing charters, whale watching, a bucking shark even a Ferris wheel this place has a lot to offer and the pizza is pretty good also. Some might say it is tacky, the arcades and all oh the palm reader is a nice touch but it is all a lot of fun. The 3 car... More

Not the big amusement park or the super shopping center - just a fun place with a mix of things that make for a great time. You gotta be somewhere so if you have the time and opportunity, this is a great place to cool your jets. I bet you can't visit here and not smile.

We shopped, we walked, we looked at Christmas lights and generally had a wonderful time. We liked it so much we returned the next day to explore further.

Great area for shopping, ocean views, boat rides, Food of all varieties priced from $3 to $299 depending on your taste and current desire. Great for a family to visit for the day or spend a vacation. Many rentals available with beach access or very close. Winter rates very attractive.

Shopping and eating on Balboa Island is fun. There are plenty of small, quant shops for antiques and knick knacks, plus plenty of places to eat that will fit all budgets.

We spent the day there and had a great time. We enjoyed walking around and shopping, taking the ferry to the other side, and renting a boat for a spin on the water. Nice place!
