We took ferry from Balboa Island to Balboa Village. Long walk from the Balboa Island marine drive to the ferry. We had rides on the ferris wheel. Many activities for kids and adults alike. Boat rentals and whale watching tours available.

A lot of quaint stores and quirky tourist spots (frozen bananas etc.) Not many good restaurants so dont plan on eating here. Quite a few dress shops and a nice book store that is worth a visit. Dont expect too much...this place is small!

Lots of interesting and fun souvenir shops to browse and enjoy a leisurely walk around before getting a bite to eat.

On the weekends, it a better option than the Newport Pier from the traffic and parking standpoint. Go for the bike rental and ride along the path to enjoy the view and explore the many shops in the area.

Old-fashioned little fishing village on Balboa Penninsula. Relaxing area to walk and see the shops, restaurants and enjoy the scenic views. The shop owners are so friendly you must take a look inside. Restaurants are numerous and making a dining decision isn't easy. So many places to explore, including the pier, in beautiful surroundings and beautiful weather. Highly recommended!

Balboa village is a must see, park and walk the pier and shops, come hungry and find your great next meal while watching the boats. What views, of course it's California beach life... I highly recommend it for anyone who has not been to paradise.

Love walking around Balboa Village! It is small, but if you visit each store and browse it could take about 3 hours. Places to eat, both sit down and fast food, and great shops. Walk off the main road and you can see some adorable houses - all with unique charm. Well worth a visit!

Such a quaint village and it feels like a warm community year round. If you are in the Newport Beach area then make time to visit this small village and walk around, window shop and make sure you get a famous balboa bar (ice cream dipped in chocolate and then it can be rolled with different toppings). There are a... More

Loved strolling this area with many restaurants, shops and boutiques. Parking is a nightmare though. Best to park off the island and walk on the ferry.
