Not the big amusement park or the super shopping center - just a fun place with a mix of things that make for a great time. You gotta be somewhere so if you have the time and opportunity, this is a great place to cool your jets. I bet you can't visit here and not smile.

We shopped, we walked, we looked at Christmas lights and generally had a wonderful time. We liked it so much we returned the next day to explore further.

Great area for shopping, ocean views, boat rides, Food of all varieties priced from $3 to $299 depending on your taste and current desire. Great for a family to visit for the day or spend a vacation. Many rentals available with beach access or very close. Winter rates very attractive.

Shopping and eating on Balboa Island is fun. There are plenty of small, quant shops for antiques and knick knacks, plus plenty of places to eat that will fit all budgets.

We spent the day there and had a great time. We enjoyed walking around and shopping, taking the ferry to the other side, and renting a boat for a spin on the water. Nice place!

Very friendly service everywhere we went, nice and beautiful place all together. Nice shops (mostly women's clothes and home deco) and a couple of nice places to eat in.

We stumbled across this village when we rode the Balboa Ferry. We had intended to ride across then right back but the little amusement park, shops and restaurants kept us there most of the day.

Many restaurants and shops. Very relaxing and don't forget to get an ice cream cone. I liked the book store and the unique shops go early if you want to find a parking place.
