Balboa Village is a typical tourist attraction and it was nice to get away near the beach for a few hours. The only issue is that it is difficult to fine parking. We had to park nearly a mile away from the village therefore it was a long walk.

If you are looking to take some amazing pictures, then take a stroll around the village. It is one of the more relaxing things to do in the area.

Cute little boardwalk with games, shops and restaurants! A great place to stop and check out if you are visiting Newport Beach.

Very much enjoyed walking through the main street with all the shops and restaurants. Nice thing is the traffic, while congested at times, did stop for pedestrians when needing to cross the street. Shops were a good mix of home goods, jewelry, clothing, souvenirs, and others. Restaurants were also a good mix. Good way to spend a leisure afternoon.

Very crowded and visit only if time permits. One visit lasts for several years. There are several nice restaurants.

If you decide to drive down to Balboa Island, you may panic at the lack of parking on the main street. Never fear. Turn right on any side street and head down 3-4 blocks to find ample street parking. The tourist crowds are pretty heavy, but unless you're into frozen bananas or the usual gift shop items, don't get your... More

It's small but there is plenty to do there with kids. We enjoyed going out on a boat, renting bicycles, and even grabbing a ride on the ferris wheel. There are plenty of restaurants around the corner from the village so don't get stuck just eating random food directly where the village area is next to the ferris wheel since... More

Must see! Such a quaint, but laid back area. It's been around for years, it's unique to many cities with boating associated with it and it's a year-round go-to place to walk, eat, see local artists or ride a bike. You can spend 30 minutes or 3 hours here.

Balboa Island is a small but charming area. There are lovely cottages and multimillion dollar properties along narrow streets. You can walk by the water also. Many shops and a variety of dining options line the street. It is an enjoyable place to spend a couple of hours to shop, dine or just take in the California sunshine and the... More

We really enjoyed our couple hours in the village getting dessert, dinner, fun zone. Unfortunately, other than a sit down meal, Balboa Village can be experienced in 1-2 hrs. Not as many shops although it's a great place to schedule tours and sightseeing.
