Lots of arcade games/rides. A ferris wheel and boardwalk feel. Great restaurants in the area. Ice cream, pizza and upscale restaurants.

It is the centre point of the Fun Zone and advertises itself as the longest ride you will have on a Ferris Wheel. It was fun, with brilliant views, but the Fun Zone will only occupy an hour of your time but it is well worth taking ferry. It really is good old fashioned fun.

The Balboa Fun Zone, adjacent to Newport Beach, has a variety of fun options for the whole family. Our family particularly enjoyed renting an easy-to pilot 18' electric boat to explore the harbor. It was great fun to see the magnificent homes and luxurious yachts from the water. The ride was calm and totally enjoyable. The zone also provides a... More

We went here on a Saturday morning around 1030 for our 11 AM boat tour. We ended up driving around the area for almost and hour to get parking. I'm not sure how it is during the week but I'm assuming most working people will go on the weekends which it is REALLY busy. You can try to find a... More

Balboa Fun Zone used to be THE place to be. It still has some charm, but is really just an arcade and some attractions. Walk by if you are in the area, but don't go outta your way.

If you are in the area this is one stop that is worth it. You have a couple of options to choose from... renting a boat, stand up paddle boating in the harbor, or just walk up the harbor for little shops or other fun activities. Also it is nice once you are parked there you can go right to... More

I went on a business trip with my husband and had a lot of time on my own. I had never been in the Newport Beach area and decided to go to Balboa Island and look around, since our hotel offered shuttle service to the area. While walking along the bay I saw a sign that advertised ferry service to... More

The Fun Zone itself isn't too exciting, but the 45minute boat tour was most enjoyable. Saw wildlife as well as many home of well-known owners. Good, informative narration. Inexpensive, too. Good for all ages.

Strolling, tanning, fishing, eating, drinking and enjoying sun and surf. What's not to like? The pier is typical and nice with a snack bar at the end. There are bathrooms, shopping, restaurants and the fun zone has a perfect romantic ferris wheel! Salt water taffy, the whale watching boats, rental boats, the ferry, as well as the Pavilion are nearby... More
