Honestly it's like a disjointed carnival with very few attractions, next to water. It's okay, figure without kids, you'll kind of go "well, um, it's fine, not particularly something to write home about". Even with kids, I would say no more than two hours at the most. There is some fun rentals available in the locale, that's probably the best... More

Cheesy fun. Not all that expensive. Every kid I've ever taken here has had a blast. It's like walking throw a seam in time, back to another area.

$30.00 for 4 things to do; albeit unlimited rides on those 4 things. Get used to it. Southern California is just way too expensive for everything; parking, food, entertainment, parking, and parking. Did I mention parking? Fun place to visit, but could never live there again. It's getting worse.

Fun area to play a few arcade games and take a few rides. A few blocks from the beach. We rented a boat and did a Harbor Cruise which was fun too

Very average fun zone. Included an arcade of good size, Ferris wheel, trampoline, rolling ball, and a bucking (bronco) but shark. Most of the stuff was for kids as adults would find it boring. It was nice that there were eating places for things like cotton candy and the likes; and a large area with tables and umbrellas. There also... More

Maybe it's because I grew up taking the ferry across to the Balboa Peninsula and checking out the amazing harbor views from the top of the Ferris wheel, maybe because they still have actual skee ball with real cluncky wooden balls tucked in between the loud and obnoxious video games in the Arcade, maybe it's because I think of Balboa... We took our 4 young grandchildren to the Balboa Fun Zone via the Ferry, and they loved the Ferris Wheel. A long ride and views of the Harbor make the $4 pp ticket cost worth it.

Giant snow cones. I swear they're almost as big as your head. Lots of shops to walk through for souvenirs and clothes. And there are rides and an arcade. Lots of fun!

We took the Ferry across the bay from Balboa Island to check this out, and weren't all that impressed. The rides are probably better at your local fair. But, if you're vacationing with multiple generations in a vacations rental, teens would probably enjoy a break here with their friends. Probably depends on what your family enjoys. Has a definite "tourist-trappish"... More

Definitely fun for families, couples and everyone. Lot's of fun, charming old style pier amusement style and attractions. Great restaurants, lots of arcades, and rides. Drive in from the peninsula or take the ferry over from Balboa Island. Close to the beach so you can really cover a lot of activities for the day. Love it!
