Focus of the Balboa Fun Zone is the cute little Ferris wheel next to the ferry ride. Also on the boardwalk, there are restaurants, many shops and the arcade. With all the attractions nearby, the 'fun zone' is actually in the center of an area with many fun things to do. Adjacent to the Fun Zone, take a short walk... More

This used to be an exciting place to take the kids. A carousel, bumper cars are all gone. Very sad place to back to.

Its fun to see the play the games that a lot of us grew up on in the 80s and 90s. This place has a lot of the throwbacks and the kids still love to play the classics too. Lots of great food options in the area. Fun place on a Saturday afternoon.

When you get right down to it, retro only goes so far when amusement is involved. This place seriously needs to up its game.

There are now a few rides but the Ferris Wheel is the iconic one. Cute little area but not worth going out of your way for it.

We have enjoyed visiting this funky but fun Balboa Fun Zone. There is a variety of boat cruises one can take from here such as fishing, whale watch, sightseeing, and more. We have enjoyed going on a boat to see the amazing celebrity mansions in this area; we have done it both during Christmas boat parade time and also today... More

There are a lot of little shops with unique "tourist-type" items and beach wear at reasonable prices. It is a fun place to walk. They have several rides, including a ferris wheel. Anytime you're at the Fun Zone, I recommend you eat at the Harborside restaurant where the food is great, large portions, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices, which... More

Lots of arcade games/rides. A ferris wheel and boardwalk feel. Great restaurants in the area. Ice cream, pizza and upscale restaurants.
