Fun to come walk around, get some ice cream and a snack, and check out the shops around the area. It could use some upgrading for sure since it has been roughly the same since I was a kid. But a nice place to take the family after a long day at the beach.

This is more geared towards smaller children. My teenagers were totally uninterested. If you have small ones, it would be more fun.

It is a little fun for kid or families with them. I don't have any so it meant nothing to me. There are several bars there and other attractions too.

I grew up going to the fun zone and I still love it. The Bay arcade has stollen many a quarter and summer afternoon from my childhood, but it was always worth it.

Brought the family here on a Thursday afternoon during spring break and was a little disappointed. I have great memories being here 18-20 years ago. It used to be a happening place. Everything seemed closed and tired. The boat rides were open but we didn't have the whole day to wait for the next boat and do the tours. Next... More

Coney Island comes to Orange County. Ugly, noisy, tacky. The rides are tired and unimpressive. It brings down the whole area Prepared to be disappointed

The Fun Zone has been on Balboa for as long as I can remember. It is a great, old-fashioned carnival atmosphere, wonderful for kids and adults to share. It is a great part of the the Balboa experience!

Focus of the Balboa Fun Zone is the cute little Ferris wheel next to the ferry ride. Also on the boardwalk, there are restaurants, many shops and the arcade. With all the attractions nearby, the 'fun zone' is actually in the center of an area with many fun things to do. Adjacent to the Fun Zone, take a short walk... More

This used to be an exciting place to take the kids. A carousel, bumper cars are all gone. Very sad place to back to.
