If you are in the area this is one stop that is worth it. You have a couple of options to choose from... renting a boat, stand up paddle boating in the harbor, or just walk up the harbor for little shops or other fun activities. Also it is nice once you are parked there you can go right to... More

I went on a business trip with my husband and had a lot of time on my own. I had never been in the Newport Beach area and decided to go to Balboa Island and look around, since our hotel offered shuttle service to the area. While walking along the bay I saw a sign that advertised ferry service to... More

The Fun Zone itself isn't too exciting, but the 45minute boat tour was most enjoyable. Saw wildlife as well as many home of well-known owners. Good, informative narration. Inexpensive, too. Good for all ages.

Strolling, tanning, fishing, eating, drinking and enjoying sun and surf. What's not to like? The pier is typical and nice with a snack bar at the end. There are bathrooms, shopping, restaurants and the fun zone has a perfect romantic ferris wheel! Salt water taffy, the whale watching boats, rental boats, the ferry, as well as the Pavilion are nearby... More

prices have gone up and up through the years. Recommend the bungie jump trampoline and ferris wheel but stop there before you end up blowing $100

Giant ferris wheel is worth it. They also have a Great White Shark "bull riding" type of ride to see how long you can stay on the shark! Fun carnival food and lots of souvenir shops to buy your treasures.

Took my son there and was highly disappointed in trying to park as well as the scuzzy type of people that are panhandling and lurking around the area. I was startled more then once by unkept and foul smelling persons. Do not let your kids wander alone.

Parking is a "bear" on the weekends but not on weekdays where you can find parking for $1.50 for an hour. It is a very "touristy" area, a fun place to walk and see the boats. Our favorite thing was lunch at the Harborside Restaurant where the food was great, great selection, generous servings, and reasonably priced -- right on... More

Just okay at best. Arcade was not that good. However, the staff of the arcade was very helpful and attentive. Kids enjoyed it, but I would have liked to see more arcades instead of just games where you earn a few tickets.

The carrousel, the marine time museum, game arcades, little restaurants, or you can just sit around watching all the sailboats and yachts go by! We spent many afternoons here!
