Great place to hang out.

Giant snow cones. I swear they're almost as big as your head. Lots of shops to walk through for souvenirs and clothes. And there are rides and an arcade. Lots of fun!

We took the Ferry across the bay from Balboa Island to check this out, and weren't all that impressed. The rides are probably better at your local fair. But, if you're vacationing with multiple generations in a vacations rental, teens would probably enjoy a break here with their friends. Probably depends on what your family enjoys. Has a definite "tourist-trappish"... More

Definitely fun for families, couples and everyone. Lot's of fun, charming old style pier amusement style and attractions. Great restaurants, lots of arcades, and rides. Drive in from the peninsula or take the ferry over from Balboa Island. Close to the beach so you can really cover a lot of activities for the day. Love it!

If you're in the area and want something to do for a couple hours, it's an OK place to hang out. We have young children, and there wasn't much for them to do, except the ferris wheel. If you can rent a boat or seadoos, then it would be more fun.

Had a good time at the arcade and walking around the funzone. There's also the Ferris wheel, sky jumper for $10 , and a mechanical shark( was a bull in disguise) for hire. There's also really good ice cream shop on Majn Street, souvenir shops and bike rental places. There are a few bars and restaurants in case you need... More

There is a very good Ferris Wheel. We enjoyed hanging out, cotton candy, watching the ferry and boats, and looking in shops. Fun place to hang out with the family and not sketchy at all.

Great family fun. Can spend a few hours here and be entertained and keep the kiddos entertained. Lots to do. We rode bikes down the boardwalk to the Balboa Island Ferry. Great day of fun with the family! Balboa Island has a ton of neat boutiques to shop! And the Original Frozen Banana Place.

There is a lot to do here for any age! There are great little beach walk type food places, a Ferris wheel, boats today rent, boats you can just pay a low fee for s tour of the waterway (we always do this!) and you can sit in the shade or sun and the tour guides tell you who owns... More

Our grandkids always want to come here to ride the ferris wheel. The view at the top of the island and bay are awesome and the ride is a long one. There are a couple of other kinds of entertainment along with video arcades, souvenir shops and restaurants as well. Visit Harborside restaurant after for the best all-day happy hour... More
