Perfect setting to see the Monuments Men movie. We liked the balcony, terrific view of the screen and comfortable too.

We live close, so we ride our bikes there and enjoy first run and/or art house movies. It's a small theatre - and I love the day glow fish on the walls, when the lights get turned down. A true "blast from the past"! There's even a Balcony area!
I still love the Lido Theater. It only plays one film at a time, it has just a little box office and a funky little snack bar, but it is so cool inside with it's balcony, florescent paint on the ceiling and walls with fish swimming along and shells and sand. It's a little piece of history right before your eyes. The seats are cozy and the movies are first rate. Go next door to the Woody's Diner for a delicious dinner before the movie or a cocktail after the movie. Have fun!
Reminiscent of times gone by. A single screen theatre that has been lovingly restored. We saw Oz, the Great and Powerful in 3 D there and the theatre is large enough to do 3 D well. Parking is easy and it's a landmark in Newport Beach.
Saw "Sideways" here months before it hit the main circuit, but more important for the more artistic/eclectic movies that may never make it to the big chain theaters. Good foreign films from time to time. Plus, it's an historic landmark in NB.
A friendly neighborhood theater with limited titles. Great 1960's-1970's (earlier?) interior murals, small and friendly snack bar ("have you ever tried the mints frozen?") with fair prices. Supports the Newport Film Festival and non-profits. Imagine two men coming out before the screening and telling us about the film, instead of having to watch a dozen commercials. I do not know...
