The day was long and the bait was small but that was fine. It was great to fish with a knowledgable crew. I would plan on going back!

I have gone on a few trips out of newport landing. Sometimes I have had a great trip. Sometimes I felt like the crew was going thru the motions. They seemed disintrested at times. The crew of the Freelance really worked hard to find the fish. Overall not a bad expiriance.

I have been on four fishing trips with Newport Landing Sportfishing and the crews have always been fast and helpful. Fast in the sense that if you catch a fish, a crew member appears right behind you to gaff the fish if necessary or tell you if its too small. They are also there just as quick to help untangle... I arranged for my son and husband to go out on the half day boat this morning for an early Father's day present. The boat trip was from 6-noon. When they got back, I was incredibly upset that there was only about an hour and a half of actual fishing. The boat traveled out for two hours and back for... More

this was a awesome experience for me and my husband. we have been deep sea fishing before.. the big sport kind where you wait until there is a bite and then you might be able to pull in a fish. This was very different. We rented our poles, bought our weights and baited our own hooks. And we did our... More

Can't help the weather and it wasn't great... I ama not a skilled fisher(woman) by any means but I can bait my hook and take a fish off the hook and I had to. The experienced fisherman next to me gave me a quick lesson on baiting, and about where you want your bait to sit under the water. The... More

Capt sat a little too long on a spot when we should of moved to a better spot. He did find a better spot later on and we scored. Was a slow day and fish were real picky. Had to trick people in my party to get sick so we could chum and it worked like a charm. Great deck... More

We enjoyed our 1/2 day fishing trip off the coast of Newport. We caught our limit of 10 fish between the two of us. Everyone on board caught fish. The captain moved the boat around a few times when the area was fished out. The crew butchered our fish for us to take home. We ate lunch onboard from the... More

I have been fishing with Newport Landing several times a year for the last 10 years. Sometimes the fishing is great and sometimes the fishing sucks. Every time, the crew is professional, the boat is clean, and Captains keep everybody safe and as comfortable as possible. I am shocked at some of these reviews on here complaining about not catching... More

I go out on 1-3 fishing trips a month with Newport landing and am always very satisfied with my experience. The crew are helpful and knowledgeable and the captaims do their best to find fish each and every trip.
