We were lucky enough to come across the Oxbow Market on our recent holiday to San Francisco and the Napa Valley. Packed with independent shops and market stalls, selling everything from cocktail bitters to artisan cheese, it's an absolute joy to experience. We had an excellent cup of Mexican coffee from one of the cafes at the back of the... More

If you want a lot of options and no frill this is the place for you. They oysters to pizza to a cupcake place. They have a larger establishment called the Kitchen Porch, it was good but not great. We ordered a korean rib dish that was not good at all, another in our party had the chineese noodle dish,... More

I could've spent the day at oxbow. The food was spectacular. There's cheese, and of course wine. There's great meats and deserts and oils and artisanal spirits and cupcakes (more desert.) Right outside is Gott's for when you want the burger of a lifetime, and the unforgettable model bakery is just around the corner. This was my favorite place in... More

The Hog Island Oyster Bar came strongly recommended, so we decided to stop at Oxbow on our way into Napa for dinner. My husband (the oyster-eater) was a huge fan. I had chips and salsa from Casa, and thought they were nothing special. (But in fairness, they're apparently famous for their tacos, which I didn't try.) Overall, it felt like... More

such a large array of great food, tacos, pizzas, Italian food, the Kitchen Door, oyster bar, a cheese store that is absolutely amazing, a wine bar, and pastries, especially Italian pastries, chocolatiers....and on and on....lots of places to sit and enjoy, indoor and outdoor. Parking is easy...breakfast, lunch, dinner....the dinner scene is busy, lots of people, standing at the bars,... More

Like the Ferry Building in San Francisco, Oxbow Public Market has a mixture of restaurants and gourmet food stalls. Unlike the Ferry Building, it's not an historic site but a somewhat characterless modern construction -- still, the interior is light and pleasant, and the quality of food is excellent. I had breakfast at C Casa, and it was so delicious... More

Just a tad touristy but the food made that a nonissue. An excellent place to stop for lunch with a group.

I really enjoyed walking around this market of very friendly vendors with plenty of tasty options. It is a good default if you don't want to eat anywhere pretentious / super fancy.
