Alston Park is one of those few city parks that allow your imagination to drift to thoughts for all seasons. One end allows for the freedom of people and dogs to be at their best, to walk, run and smell the beauty of mother earth. There is also a fenced dog area with chairs and tables for the two legged... The off leash section of this park is lovely, great for your dog and you for a nice, easy day hike around some beautiful vineyard views.

We used to take our dogs here but was told be a Vet that it's not a good idea. There's not much here except a few trails. The City hasn't done much to improve it

On the west side of Napa, Alston Park is a local gem for dog walkers. There are two fenced areas known as Canine Commons and two unpaved walking loops. The longest loop from the parking lot is around 1.3 miles. Walking the inner and outer loops totals just 2 miles. The northern two thirds of the park are on leash... More

We enjoyed going to Alston Park on the west side of Napa. There are several trails for hikes. There is also a good dog park.

This is a true treasure in Napa. It is a nice hike to the top and once you get there you can see for ever. I don;\'t know if dogs are allowed or not but the ones we ran across were so well behaved and the owners were very considerate.

Alston is a great spot to bring the dog. There is a fenced dog park to let them run free, as well as other areas of the park that allow on leash and off leash walking. The park is rather larger with multiple little trails. My main complaint is there is not much shade available on most of the trails,... More

This is a small park with a few hiking trails. There is a steep incline at the very beginning which provides a scenic view of the surrounding vineyards - but once you go down that hill, there is a lack of elevation and not much else to see. It's a nice place to get outdoors in Napa and go for... More

Alston Park is a wonderful place to enjoy with your WELL-BEHAVED dog. Half of the park is off-leash and the other is for on-leash. There is an inside loop, an outside loop and a fenced in doggy play area, complete with kiddy pools. Water spigots can be found in two places on the upper off leash area, and there is... More

We're from out of town and arrived at the hotel way ahead of check-in so needed somewhere to walk the dog. This park is really open with lots of paths criss-crossing the meadows, and while there is an enclosed dog park most people use the large leash-free area. There are drinking bowls provided and water fountains for two- and four-legged... More
