The park has spectacular views, it is easy to find and get to with lots of parking, only a short distance for Rte 29 and Trancas-Redwood Rd. intersection. And, yet it gives you a great view of the entire Napa Valley. Park is locat4ed on a slightly elevated location, does not require much effort to get to, however, WATCH OUT!... More

Great for a stroll in town, but feels like in the woods. Borders vineyards, nice hilly terrain with benches aplenty. Friendly dogs out for their walks.

Love taking my dog to walk the upper trail then let him run free in the fenced dog park with other dogs.

I go to this park about 3 to 4 times a week to get in a walk that works up a bit of a sweat. I like watching all of the people with their dogs as it is really a dog park. However, the northern part of the park requires dog owners to have their dogs on a leash and... More

Alston Park is perfect in any season. While some of the trails can be muddy during the winter, they are very useable. There are panoramic views from the hills, an off leash dog area and a dog play area. Mountain biking is also popular and it is an excellent park for cross country training. The users are friendly and helpful.... More

It's fairly close to downtown Napa and easy to find. It was a bit dry in the hot August heat, but there was plenty of room for the dogs to play and lots of other friendly dog-owners as well. Plus it's surrounded by beautiful vineyards!

A really cool place to let your dog off the leash and run untethered. My girl and I can get our exercise and let Jonah run freely and socialize as he pleases. We wish we lived closer!

My two German Shorthair Pointers visit Alston Park almost every day of the year. They start whining and barking 1/2 mile away in anticipation. When we arrive and I drop the tailgate, they jump out the back like they were shot from a Roman candle! Alston is the best off leash park in Napa. At the south end of the... More

I love this place so much I am considering putting my ashes when I die behind the dog park up on the hill under the tree. There is a bench to sit on and it has the view of Italy. At least there use to be a bench there and I hope it still is. I so need to get... More
