My wife and I are red lovers, and we visited a number of excellent wineries during a recent trip to the Napa Valley. We saved the best for last! We had read about the vineyard, and Whitney was very accommodating in setting up a tasting. Our visit truly was the highlight of our trip. The whole experience will stay with... More

We were so lucky to enjoy a few glasses of this OUTSTANDING wine with Whitney, before she had to go check out her new tractor. (Farm toys = fun!) Beautiful scenery, relaxed atmosphere, and a red wine that I'm seriously going to dream about until it arrives. (The 2009 Cheval, fyi)

I got here with a private tour, and so glad it was included. This wine is very special. But Ms. Yates style and story made it better. When we got out of the car, her 2 dogs welcomed us by picking pears out of the trees and bringing them to us to play fetch. Touring the historic presses very interesting.... More

The Yates Family beautiful winery is just a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. You won't be sorry you took the extra time.

OK, simple math here. Fantastic down to earth people+ passion and experience+ spectacular location=OUTSTANDING WINE. My wife and I had the great luck to find these folks early on and their wine is getting from great to WOW. We go see them every time we are up that way. If I were you, I would go check them out soon... More

This was our last stop on our tour and our favorite wine. We will definitely order from them when our purchases run out. Highly recommend.

We spent 6 full days in Napa, touring some of the major wineries and lots of smaller, boutique wineries. Yates Family Vineyard was by far our best experience of Napa wineries. First, its a bit of a drive; 2-1/2 miles past Hess Winery. You drive through wooded areas filled with big Redwoods and steep inclines and begin to think, there... More

What wonderful winery! It is a little off the beaten path, but is WELL worth the drive! We heard about Yates from our driver, who highly recommended them. We were graciously greeted by Mary Yates and 2 of 4 of their family dogs. The dogs were super friendly and followed us around the tour, which was cute. Mary showed us... More
