And they have great wines, too! Nice tasting room, very relaxing, very groovy! We enjoyed the chard, and the music, and the servers.
We added this as our last stop one a wine tour after our friends recommended it. We made and appointment and accidentally went to the house first instead of the tasting room. This mishap made us a few minutes late for our appointment in the tasting room. When we arrived to the tasting room we were actually scolded for being... More
We recently visited for a wine tasting and found the wines to be very average. This wasn't helped by the poor presentation of the two girls delivering the tasting who seemed very 'light' on wine varietals and world history of wines. The tasting itself was expensive.
This winery is new-ish having the 1st production vintage 2003. They do big cabs, a great Malbec and some spectacular blends. The tasting room is staffed by regulars who have been with the winery from the beginning. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are a bit pricey but they stand up to the best in Napa. Beautiful setting right... More
We stopped here on a whim and it was one of our favorite visits of the week. Lovely wines and our tasting bar host Dustin had a wicked sense of humor along with excellent knowledge of the wines. Nice intimate setting and a fun visit.
I found this place from a recommendation of a local. The tasting was incredible and I found Coles wine one of the very best I tasted while in Napa. If you get the chance you will not be disappointed at your visit
This is a small privately owned winery. We were looking for sweet wines and all they had was a Merlot ice wine. Now, I am an amateur when it comes to wines so I am not sure how a Merlot is suppose to taste but this one is sweet with incredible flavor. The grapes are from a vineyard in Canada... More
we love going to james cole winery at the foot of the silverado trail just across from oak knoll rd. the cabs and malbec are truly excellent and if you can snag a taste of the 2005 cab, you will get some lovely hints of eucalyptus in your taste buds as well. the wine tasting experience is also a lot... Went to James Cole based on a recomendation from a friend in Nashville. Our group arrived late in the afternoon on a Friday and were immediately welcomed by Lisa at the tasting bar. The winery has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere (rock music playing in the barrel room) and the wine is incredible! Loved the Petit Verdot, and have continued to... More
