Artesa Winery is in a dramatic setting, with unique and stunning architecture. Worth a visit just to see this. BUT the wine is excellent. My favorite is their chardonnay.

I will be the first one to say, that I am not the best wine taste tester. Most things taste pretty good to me and I have trouble with subtle hints of flavors. By far my favorite wine of the tasting was the sparkling wine. I was in the area on a job interview, and we are going to celebrate... More

Great setting, great wine but inattentive and poor customer service. Artesa Winery began life in 1991 as sparkling wine specialist Codorniu Napa; Spain’s Codorniu has been making bubbly since 1872, but the family couldn’t make a go of that product in California.  So, if at first you don’t succeed, try again….and the winery changed its name and switched to the production... Great wines in a beautiful mountain top location with views for miles and miles (you can literally see the San Francisco skyline). Large open area and several tasting bars, so no waiting, no matter how busy!

This winery, built into the top of a hill, is definitely worth a visit for the architecture and scenery as well as the wine. Our tour, led by Colin, was fun and informative. We also got a flute of sparkling wine before the tour and 7 wine tastings after, all for only $30 a person! Reservations are not needed for... More

Modern atmosphere and decent wine list. If it's a nice day, sit on the patio, which offers a lovely view of the valley.

I sort of expected more. Don't get me wrong... Glad we stopped. Amazing view! The art was worth the look. It never occurred to me for one sip to buy a bottle of wine though. You can easily have triple the wines for the same price in the area. Tasting fee $20 or $25 depending on your selection. Not impressive... More

A friend took me and wife to the taste their wines. We chose the reserve selection. We were a bit disappointed with the selection, so were given three (3!) extra wines to taste, including one sparkling. That, interaction with other visitors, and the nice scenery were enjoyable.

WOW, this winery has absolutely Beautiful.. The view was spectacular & the art pieces take your breath away.. We had more fun wine tasting and talking with the our server that we almost did not want to leave.. The whole wine tasting building was designed around wine.. Ask about how it was built, it's very interesting
