We did the $25 tour and tasting. The tour included tastes of three sparkling wines and two red wines (though our guide opened a couple other bottles of things for us to try near the end of the tour). Their sparkling wines were great. The tour was good and I learned a lot about the making of sparkling wine and... more

At the suggestion of many wine country experts, I chose Domaine Carneros to end our day in Rutherford/Carneros. I expected it to be very crowded, but we got a table immediately and had great service by Scott. The flights are excellent, and the cheese/fruit pairings really enhance the flavor of the wine. I was not so crazy about their reds,... more

After all the great reviews, I feel a little churlish writing a negative one. However, I was very disappointed by Domaine Carneros. The winery is an impressive building with a pleasant terrace, but it is plagued by continuous noise from the road below. Don't come here expecting great views and tranquility. Also, don't come expecting a wine tasting. A waitress... more

We've always enjoyed stopping at Domaine Carneros. They have some of the friendliest staff in the Valley, they are generous with their pours, they stay open longer hours than most, and the grounds are beautiful. No appointment is needed, and they are also happy to accomodate guests on tours at the last minute, subject to capacity. The tours are informative... more

Went there in November on a weekday. Lovely view. If it wasn't so cold that day, we (2 of us) would have had some champagne outside. Used our Copia passport for a discount on the tastings and the staff were very willing to accept. Attentive waitstaff and very knowledgable. Would recommend spending an hour here when you can. more

By far the best winery I have been to. Just driving up to the Chateau was breath taking. It is gorgeous. The landscaping is exquisite and the Chateau looked so beautiful. We booked a reservation in advance (sparkling wine) and we walked in to the chateau to begin we had a tour guide who was so awesome. He spoke from... more

Domaine Carneros has a beautiful building and is worth going to even if you do not take the tour. If you do choose to take the tour, you get a brief walk through the vineyards in front (something you can freely do on your own), a video on the making of champagne, then a guided tour above the facility with... more

We included Domaine Carneros in a wine tour we offered our wedding guests. We wanted to start the tour with sparkling wine, and we knew that this might also be the first winery experience for many of our guests. We couldn't have made a better choice. Needless to say, everything about the place is beautiful, and that's to say nothing... more

One of our favorite stops during a long weekend in Napa. We sampled three excellent Pinot Noirs while enjoying the terrific view from their lovely terrace. Our table server, who spoke in a lovely thick French accent, was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Excellent change of pace from the more-hectic scene along route 29 further in the heart of the valley. more

We just came back from a visit to wine country. We loved the ambiance of Domaine Carneros. We ended each day of touring on the verandra here to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, a plate of fruit & cheese and of course the breath taking views. Our host each evening was Al, a senior wine educator and very friendly... more
