We enjoyed our stop at the Hess Collection. The grounds are very nice and peaceful, though there really is no where to walk around. So it's a little off the beaten path to get there... GO!! It's worth it. The tasting room isn't too big...it's intimate enough with great ambience. They are personable and casual. This is by far my favorite Napa winery. The remote drive is absolutely beautiful. Once on the grounds, you will not be disappointed. Art is tucked away in every corner. Off the beaten path, beautiful garden, cool art collection and there are coupons out there for free tastings so ask around. Definitely would visit again if nothing else to see the garden and art. more

Yes, this winery is somewhat out of the way but well worth the trip. It has a great art gallery, fun tourist shop and one of the best wine tastings.
