A wide range of styles, media, and subject matter provide an overview of the creative energy and freedom to experiment that characterize this region of California. The Gatehouse Gallery welcomes drop-in visitors to view di Rosa’s current exhibition, but in order to view the full extent of the collection (including the Main Gallery, Residence, and Sculpture Meadow) a tour is required. These informal, guided tours include time for independent viewing of the artwork. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Advance reservations for tours are highly recommended. « less

A extensive collection of what may be the most poorly chosen collection I have ever seen. The tour lasted two hours and two minutes would have sufficed. Sorry di rosa.

Had a guided tour (with van ride) of the art and the property. Worth the trip. A mall charge for the docent.

The Di Rosa is unlike any other museum. Located in the home of an art collector, DiRosa, who collected late 20th and 21st Century California art, the collection is quirky and delightful. You have to reserve a tour time and you see the preserve with the help of highly knowledgeable docents in a small group. Ours was 8 people. The... More

Take the tour! You do not want to miss the di Rosa home. Yes you see the gallery, but the art continues. Near Artessa vineyards, and in the less congested wine region, Carneros.

Wow what a great wine country find - especially the tour of the house with all the art work left as if the owners left yesterday. Great curators who made the tour a lot of fun. Totally unexpected adventure and if anyone is interested in art and the art of the bay area excellent in every way. Highly recommend it.

A terrific collection of California artists and art that makes you smile, laugh, think, and participate in the experience. The setting is spectacular; make time to walk in the gardens where there are wonderful surprises.

Modern art from northern California, particularly the Bay Area, is the province of di Rosa. Such restricted geographic, cultural, and temporal scope limits the collection's appeal, even among art aficionados.

If you like modern art and sculpture, this is the place to be. Make reservations for the tour. $12 for adults, $9. for seniors. You hop onto a passenger trailer and the bring you up the hill to the main house. All of the art his from California artists. Many of the pieces had to be drug induced. The combination... More

I was not expecting this place to be as nice as I was led to believe. It turned out to be even nicer than what I was told. It was an interesting and eclectic collection of art, memorabilia of the owners of the property, the indoor and outdoor displays and the unique nature of many of the pieces shown. This... More
