If you like Napa Cabernets then this is your place. NOT a white wine drinkers winery. The tasting experience is very relaxing with very pretty surroundings. MOST Bottles range just above or below a hundred, but that gets you some of the best cabernets Napa has to offer. Sure you could drop 3 bills at Opus or sell one of... More

We just participated in a wine tasting, but had a great experience! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. He took us through the history of the winery and label, while giving us extensive detailed information on the wine making procedures. One of the few places that will apply your wine tasting cost to the wines you purchase.

We stopped in chimney rock yesterday and had a very enjoyable tasting. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I can't wait to enjoy the wine we brought home. Thank you!

Expert staff - salaried - not on commission - just happy to teach. This was our first stop on our first trip to Napa. We walked in at 2pm on a Wednesday and had the place to ourselves. Matt was our tasting room wine advisor and he was happy to show us what HE would do if he were walking... More

We sat outside and enjoyed the afternoon. They labled the glasses so as we shared we could keep track of the wines. We didn't feel pressured to buy and the person pouring our wine was very helpful. We bought three diffents selections for tasting and some overlapped so they gave us others so we did duplicate any. A plate of... More

The wine really does taste good. However, be aware that you will be paying up to twenty or thirty percent more than a retailer like Total Wine. We tasted there last Saturday. It was crowded and they do charge up to $35 for their reserve tasting for four or five wines, not cheap. On our way out, we overheard one... More

If you like big bold Napa cabs, this MUST be on your list of places to stop. We had a big group so we had a private tasting in their back building--one of the most beautiful rooms we saw on our trip. If you get a chance even to poke your head in, do it. There wasn't a wine we... More

Chimney Rock is one of those wineries that gives Napa wineries a bad name. All of those old awards and high ratings have gone to their head in a big way. It's one of those snooty places where you feel like everybody is staring at you and judging you as soon as you set foot in the door. It's really... More

Chimney Rock (while I am a fan) was a surprisingly great tasting. We were able to taste some of their older wines along with their sister wines. They have a few single block bottles as well. A note if you are in the tradr or hospitality industry they offer additional deals that are certainly above and beyond what others offer.... More

This was our first stop of the day. The winery is absolutely picturesque off the main road. The tasting room is very nice with a huge bar for the sampling. The guy helping us took the time to give us details of the wines. It was unusual that I didn't care of any of the regular flights so he allowed... More
