If you like big bold Napa cabs, this MUST be on your list of places to stop. We had a big group so we had a private tasting in their back building--one of the most beautiful rooms we saw on our trip. If you get a chance even to poke your head in, do it. There wasn't a wine we... More

Chimney Rock is one of those wineries that gives Napa wineries a bad name. All of those old awards and high ratings have gone to their head in a big way. It's one of those snooty places where you feel like everybody is staring at you and judging you as soon as you set foot in the door. It's really... More

Chimney Rock (while I am a fan) was a surprisingly great tasting. We were able to taste some of their older wines along with their sister wines. They have a few single block bottles as well. A note if you are in the tradr or hospitality industry they offer additional deals that are certainly above and beyond what others offer.... More

This was our first stop of the day. The winery is absolutely picturesque off the main road. The tasting room is very nice with a huge bar for the sampling. The guy helping us took the time to give us details of the wines. It was unusual that I didn't care of any of the regular flights so he allowed... More

I like Chimney Rock and left this winery for last because I knew the evening sun would make their famous building glow. They have a nice porch to sit and taste great flights. We loved the guy who told us about our wines. He had a real "California" personality. Laid back and nice. He didn't push us to buy anything... More

I'd love to come back for a full tour, but Claire handled our drop-in tasting with aplomb. She was personable and knowledgable. She also did not push the wine club. The Tomahawk cab rivals Phelps' Insignia, but all the cabs were amazing. We really liked the 03 and 07, and purchased the 07. I will definitely order direct in the... More

We did a walk-in tasting at the winery tasting room in late October 2013. I'm a huge fan of the Chimney Rock Cabernet so I wanted to try the latest releases. A bit crowded for a Tuesday afternoon, staff was pleasant but busy. We enjoyed our tasting on the outdoor patio, but we had to go back inside for our... More

What more can I say - fantastic wines, friendly and helpful staff. We got the more expensive of the Cab flights and whoa! What a difference a year makes. Really superb, our hands down favorite of the valley.

We stopped in at Chimney Rock after a friends recommendation. We found the winery to be a terrific find. The grounds are spectacular enabling gusts to try a variety of their wines in a relaxed setting. They were also able to ship to our state which can be a challenge.

First timers in Napa and cab lovers so had to visit. Very nice atmosphere inside and out. Nice modern yet warm feel to the place. Great outside elegant seating overlooking the hills of the vineyard. The flights were delicious and we treated to a bit extra at no extra cost. Lovely tasting experience
