Description: William Hill Estate is renowned for crafting elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet...
William Hill Estate is renowned for crafting elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot wines due to its exceptional location just off the Silverado Trail in southern Napa Valley on the rolling hills of the Silverado Bench. William Hill founded this Estate Winery in 1978, purchasing 200 acres of which 140 acres are planted to vine. Once classic in style, winemaker Ralf Holdenried has successfully transitioned our wines to a more refined and sophisticated style with fruit intensity and layers of complexity. Ralf's innovative and progressive approach to grape growing and winemaking enhances the unique style of our Napa Valley wines.

Check out my blog for more reviews ! http://www.victoriasxcape.com/road-tripping-wine-sipping-napa-valley-style/ I plugged in a random winery address that I saw on Google and Siri directed us. Well that random winery was named William Hill Estate winery. IMG_1333Absolutely gorgeous ! Upon entering a sign caught our attention. “Appointments Only”. Slightly disappointed we drove in anyway. Thank God we did, since we arrived... More

Worth the detour if only for the setting high on "the bench" looking over the valley and the hills. The Cabernets are quite pleasant for an afternoon sip. You can share a tasting and you can bring your own picnic and your dog!

We were so pleased with this winery. We sat in the adirondack chairs overlooking the vineyards and slowly enjoyed the wine (which was brought to us outside). It was a gorgeous fall afternoon and not too many people there. This is not a "bar" atmosphere which we encountered in much of Napa. Kudos to William Hill for doing it right!... More

This is a really pretty spot and we had a beautiful visit. I really recommend the self-guided tour and the chance to walk the grounds and take in the beautiful views. The wine was yummy. We sat outside on a warm Fall day for the tasting. Would recommend taking home a bottle of the Bench Blend Chardonnay for later (light... More

9/12/2014 - Toured William Hill as a guest of E&J Winery & Community Spirits Liquor (Indianapolis) After tasting several wines, we were treated to a wonder lunch, a lively presentation from Jan Wall from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly - absolutely loved the Peach Bubbly. The property is beautiful, and we were just in time for grape picking.

This was the first winery we visited in the Napa Valley. Very friendly & helpful staff, let us share a tasting (I don't like to drink a lot). Beautiful view & lovely wines as well.

The William Hill Winery was a nice addition to any visit to Napa Wine Country. We enjoyed the walking tour by iPod through the vineyards and it is a must do if you show up and do the tasting. The tour takes about 20-25 minutes and it takes you through the different types of grapes and features in the vineyard... More

I really loved that you got to sit outside and enjoy the view while you had your tasting. The truffle popcorn and cheese was also a nice touch. FYI You need reservations here for a tasting.

Since we have been drinking William Hill Cabs for several years, my wife and I thought visiting the winery would be fun. It is a better experience than I had imagined. The wines are delicious and not as overpriced as many of the Napa Cabs. The staff were very friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. The best part of our... More
