Description: William Hill Estate is renowned for crafting elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet...
William Hill Estate is renowned for crafting elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot wines due to its exceptional location just off the Silverado Trail in southern Napa Valley on the rolling hills of the Silverado Bench. William Hill founded this Estate Winery in 1978, purchasing 200 acres of which 140 acres are planted to vine. Once classic in style, winemaker Ralf Holdenried has successfully transitioned our wines to a more refined and sophisticated style with fruit intensity and layers of complexity. Ralf's innovative and progressive approach to grape growing and winemaking enhances the unique style of our Napa Valley wines.

What an imaculate place. Clean, modern, and amazing. We toured the facility (niece in the wine business), and after tastings, came home and purchased more.

William Hill Estate Winery was absolutely amazing! What made me visit was how friendly and accommodating they were during our initial conversation. I love how the tour is self-paced with an iPod. One doesn't have to deal with a group. It was nice being alone. It made it really romantic. The view is amazing! I recommend tasting the 2013 Napa... More

Dear Sportytigger, Thanks for your note about your experience at William Hill Estate. We appreciate that you took the time away from your busy schedule to share your thoughts. Learning from guests is one of the most important ways we gain insight to our business, from what happens in the cellar all the way through to our tasting room. We... More

A nice library and peaceful spot, with their reservations you know that you won't have a mad house Disney experience. Understanding more and more why more places require reservations, keeps the experience a relaxed adult day out while you enjoy some lovely wines. Williams Hill did not disappoint.

The wines are nothing spectacular but it was a lovely place to be in the afternoon- the view is amazing of the grounds and surrounding hills. Tasting was generic and commercialized, with us all lined up.

Check out my blog for more reviews ! http://www.victoriasxcape.com/road-tripping-wine-sipping-napa-valley-style/ I plugged in a random winery address that I saw on Google and Siri directed us. Well that random winery was named William Hill Estate winery. IMG_1333Absolutely gorgeous ! Upon entering a sign caught our attention. “Appointments Only”. Slightly disappointed we drove in anyway. Thank God we did, since we arrived... More

Worth the detour if only for the setting high on "the bench" looking over the valley and the hills. The Cabernets are quite pleasant for an afternoon sip. You can share a tasting and you can bring your own picnic and your dog!

We were so pleased with this winery. We sat in the adirondack chairs overlooking the vineyards and slowly enjoyed the wine (which was brought to us outside). It was a gorgeous fall afternoon and not too many people there. This is not a "bar" atmosphere which we encountered in much of Napa. Kudos to William Hill for doing it right!... More

This is a really pretty spot and we had a beautiful visit. I really recommend the self-guided tour and the chance to walk the grounds and take in the beautiful views. The wine was yummy. We sat outside on a warm Fall day for the tasting. Would recommend taking home a bottle of the Bench Blend Chardonnay for later (light... More

9/12/2014 - Toured William Hill as a guest of E&J Winery & Community Spirits Liquor (Indianapolis) After tasting several wines, we were treated to a wonder lunch, a lively presentation from Jan Wall from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly - absolutely loved the Peach Bubbly. The property is beautiful, and we were just in time for grape picking.
