We hesitated to book the trip as it seemed pricey, but it was worth every penny. The vintage carriages are a treat, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the food superb....oh yes, and the wine was pretty good too! If you can, do it, it's a unique experience.

I had already read the Napa Wine Train tour was one of the top 5 Attractions in Napa Valley, however it has even surprised positively once we got to there. Service, food, silver plate dishes, luxurious cabins, seats, view, and the most important: even being around 3 hours of tours, it runs fast enough to be considered as an amazing... More

My wife and I recently joined the lunch Grgrich wine tour and had a fun time. The train has been restored and retained the original charm of the era. Unfortunately, the lunch car was very full and there was insufficient room to sit comfortably as the tables were too close to each other and the person behind me constantly pushed... More

I'm a thrill seeker. This was a bit too slow. Plus I've seen the city before so its no biggie. If you must go, go when the vineyards are green not brown and twiggy. The food was excellent but the dessert average low on the chocolate 1/2 dome thing, very ordinary, like store bought. But I heard most cooks that... More

First of all, thank you for joining us and taking the time to write your review. While our engines were built to a 99 mph rating, they live in happy retirement going at a leisurely 15-18 mph. This gives you a better chance to enjoy the scenery (and it’s a smoother ride). We like to think of our 15-18 mile... More

I arranged this trip for my wife's birthday and what a treat! We went for the gourmet express option which was fantastic. The food and wine were excellent, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and it was great to be able to explore the full length of the train during the journey.

Yes, the food was excellent, the experience of traveling in a luxurious "retro" train car was intriguing. The highlight of the trip was the wonderful service we received from everyone on the train staff, from the telephone experience with the booking, to the reception, to the waiters on the train. Everything! A perfect and memorable day.

This was the highlight of our trip to the Wine Country! Food was excellent, our server was charming and funny, we had the best time! We chose the Vista Dome lunch and I highly recommend this option since your car is upstairs and private giving a better view and not so many people passing through to tour the train. This... More

Great food, wine and scenery on classy, refurbished rail cars. Relaxing and enjoyable. Expensive? Yes, but worth it.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The train embarkation was very organized and presentation was informative. The dining cars were so nice and the ambiance was special. The food was amazing with a welcome glass of wine. We (two couples) ordered a bottle of wine with our lunch and opened another we had purchased in the store... More
