The train is outfitted very comfortably and you can even spend some time outside at the end of the train car. Every table has a big window. Service was attentive and food was terrific (vegetarian option for one of us). If you want to economize, do the lunch instead of dinner, drive to your own wineries for tasting, and pass... More

A fantastic evening. Truly a must do in the Napa area. The hospitality, service and staff were all top notch. Boarding the train about 6 pm, we were seated in overstuffed chairs in one of the rar cars. Wines were poured and the train departed. The lady servers were very attentive and personable, offering tips and info along the ride.... More

If you only have one day in Napa, this has to be on your list of final contestants. My wife and I took the Castillo Di Amorosa tour and it was fabulous. The train itself is an amazing piece of history. You get to ride along and view gorgeous vineyards while enjoying an excellent lunch. We met a wonderful couple... More

Really didn't know what to expect of this. They had a lunch train and a dinner train. We selected the lunch train given the time of year the dinner train runs in the dark. When you get on the train you get a surprise seeing the 1920 Pullman cars interior. It's beautiful, with 1920's styling. There are large windows for... More

This trip was booked for me and I had expected it would stop at vineyards for tastings. It does not, but it is slow sunset train ride by some of the most famous vineyards in the world. I’ve heard the local population does not have a great deal of respect for the Napa Valley Wine train. It is for tourists... More

My friends from Chicago chose to have Sunday lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train. Our food was pretty good. I had the Lobster Bisque and Ahi Tuna. My friends also enjoyed their meal. I had the chocolate cake for dessert--it was also good. I didn't have any wine but my friends enjoyed their wine. The service and staff were... More

Rode the train for lunch in the Vista Dome during our honeymoon and it was absolutely lovely. The food was excellent, the service was great. We are glad we didn't choose to do a winery tour in our train package as we enjoyed our time on the train and visited wineries on our own in the afternoon after the train... More
