This is a must do during a Napa Valley visit - do the second sitting if you can get it. We were lucky to have the tasting first with a Wine Educator on Board - yummy appetizers to go with. Efficient & friendly service from all servers who are all knowledgable of this beautiful wine growing area.

On our NASCAR weekend getaway, we had dinner on the wine train! Our reservations were for the gourmet dinner package. Check in was easy with a nice lobby and gift store. On the train we were served a wonderful 5-course meal. After we ate we were able to walk about the train from one end to the other, even through... More

Fantastic experience - not at all 'gimmicky'. If you are considering at all - DO IT. Tip 1 - eat on 'lower level'. Believe it or not this will provide better views AND you get to switch to a lounge car for desserts and coffee. Tip 2 - First seating. Yes you eat a little earlier at ~7pm, but you... More

Unique way to travel through the Napa Valley for an evening of fun! Excellent food and wine with great service provided by friendly staff. Especially enjoyed walking through the cars to visit the engine, then stopping off in the viewing cars to see the vineyards by moonlight. Well worth the cost.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Napa and chose to do the Wine Train for lunch on our last day. It was one of the best days ever--the entire experience was amazing and the meal was delicious. We did the late lunch and enjoyed the view, the wine, the meal, the informative staff, visiting with other... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our Gourmet Luncheon on the Napa Wine train! The service, food, views ambiance were fantastic. We started our experience in the lounge car, where we picked a flight for our wine tasting. They served us each, our own, very generous, gourmet appetizer to enjoy with our wine. Delicious! We purchased a bottle of our favorite wine, sat... More

This was our third visit to Napa, and third Wine Train excursion. Each return trip my husband and I bring family and friends to share the experience. The train cars are beautifully restored, the service impeccable, and the food is beautiful and delicious. Important to our travel plans anywhere is handicapped accessibility, and the Wine Train staff are able to... More

A terrific way to spend 3 hours while slowly traveling through wine country. The trip is very organized and you never feel rushed. You spend half the trip enjoying the scenery and sipping wine, and the other half enjoying a terrific 3 course meal in a dining car. Definitely one of the best things we did in wine country and... What a great experience. It was just so relaxing and enjoyable. The staff is first class. The food is gourmet upscale restaurant quality. Wine options are plentiful but we trusted their suggestions and went with it. Happy we did. The views are just great along the way. (I recommend the Vista Dome.) I have to say it is quite romantic.... More

After visiting Napa/Sonoma valley a number of times we discovered a wonderful way to enjoy the Napa Valley by train. Food and service (and of course the wine selections) were excellent, and the personal touches by Gerald, our waiter, and time spent with Kelly Macdonald, the executive chef, made the day all the more memorable. Highly recommended to all!
