Great place to visit. Fun for all ages. Drive through tree and tree houses to play in. Picnic tables and beautiful redwoods. Not too far off Hwy 101. Stop by , you'll be glad you did.

Drive Thru area is actually a Split in the Tree. Nice to see a bit of true/authentic mother nature at work.

The Chandler drive though is much better. I can say that we did it but that is about it. Cost was $6 and there was a line of cars waiting. We were able to get photos of the car going through the tree and that part was worth the 6 bucks, but the rest of the attraction is a joke.

It's one of those things you have to do, if you are around the Redwoods! We found this drive-through-tree during our drive of the Avenue of the Giants. It was $6 to drive through and it made me smile that there was no one collecting money on the gate, you just put your $6 in a box! It was a... More

In 1930 the Shrine Drive-Through Tree was made; it was a time when making such attractions was a popular thing to do as both auto travel and the ability to see a redwood tree were both very new and intriguing to do. While I would not want to see another redwood tree "sacrificed" in such a touristy way, since it... More

This is right off the Avenue of the Giants, making it very convenient. It is well laid out and definitely worth an extra 15 or 20 minutes and the $6.00 cost of admission.

After having driven through the Chandelier Tree earlier in the day, this didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was unique, being able to drive through a tree, but the split in the tree goes much further up and it feels more like driving through a ruin. Also, the park is literally right off the main road and the... More

This may not be the nicest of the drive through trees but there are other things here too. The "Tree Houses" are really cool and my grandson enjoyed playing in them. The "drive on" tree is a nice picture opportunity to stand next to a fallen tree (this tree was in much better shape when I got my picture standing... More

After a long day of hiking (and getting lost) in the Redwood Forest, this was a fun activity. After all, how many people can say they've driven through a tree? It makes a great photo.
