Ironstone Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery that places as much emphasis on the natural beauty and history of our surroundings as we do on the quality of our wines. Located in Murphys, in the heart of the Sierra Foothills in California's scenic Gold Rush Country, Ironstone is a state-of-the-art wine production facility.

The winery was built in the style of a 19th century gold stamp mill and has antiques and gold mining artifacts on display throughout the facility. Ironstone offers a Tasting Room and Music Room, where you can find the fully restored Alhambra Theatre Pipe Organ. The facility also boasts Meeting and Banquet Facilities, an Outdoor Amphitheatre, Wine Aging Caverns and a Culinary Demonstration Kitchen. With fourteen acres of Spectacular Lakeside Gardens, you can choose your perfect Wedding Venue.

Ironstone's Heritage Museum is home to a 44 pound Crystalline Gold Leaf specimen, the largest in the world. The Heritage Jewelry Shoppe, located inside the Heritage Museum, offers visitors a unique opportunity to take home a piece of California's colorful history.

We happened to strike up a conversation with a couple at breakfast who were staying at the same hotel. They had gone to ironestone vineyards and recommended it to us. So we went. We were so impressed. You must take the 1:30 free tour. It was the highlight of our trip.

I've visited the gold country many times, but somehow missed this attractive winery. It rivals most vineyards in Napa and Sonoma and is particularly beautiful in the autumn when fall colors present a beautiful background.

Wonderful venue to just walk around and/or for wine tasting. Also they have a wonderful concert series each year with a full stage and large accomodations.

Lots to look at, good food and found an excellent wine sauce. Couldn't get enough pictures. The fall colors were beautiful. Recommend that this be a definite stop. The staff was friendly and knowledgable

Nice selection of wines to sample including reserve wines. My favorites the day I went were the Chardonnay, both white and red obsessions, and the Malbec. Save time to have a bite at the cafe. Listen to Bob when he says the clam chowder is the best around. He was right. And best of all, the entrance to the winery... More

We visited Ironstone with another couple while on vacation. Besides participating in a wine tasting, we were able to enjoy a lunch on the patio while enjoying a glass of wine. Take time to explore the vineyard and check out the whatever other events they may have scheduled.

Take the 1.7 mike drive from downtown Murphys. If you don't you'll never know what you've missed. It's beautiful and the wine is good and priced affordably. Definitely the best stop on our trip!

This was out of the way from downtown Murphys. Large tasting room, plenty of places to eat. Lots of winery type gifts to purchase. Beautiful place for weddings. We bought a case of merlot.

Loved the grounds and the very easy to get to a and park. We are looking forward to seeing a concert there in the near future. The wine is pretty good, if you not to much of a snob. The food was not to good, and it took a long time to get our sandwich. My recommendation is bring a... More

It was nice to walk around the grounds and find shade to get a break from the sun, 95 today. We saw so many beautiful cars and had a nice lunch set back under the trees. Music played on the stage, it was a great way to spend the day. Benefited the 4-H, so the bonus was the 4-H chicken... More
