Ironstone Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery that places as much emphasis on the natural beauty and history of our surroundings as we do on the quality of our wines. Located in Murphys, in the heart of the Sierra Foothills in California's scenic Gold Rush Country, Ironstone is a state-of-the-art wine production facility. The winery was built in the style of a 19th century gold stamp mill and has antiques and gold mining artifacts on display throughout the facility. Ironstone offers a Tasting Room and Music Room, where you can find the fully restored Alhambra Theatre Pipe Organ. The facility also boasts Meeting and Banquet Facilities, an Outdoor Amphitheatre, Wine Aging Caverns and a Culinary Demonstration Kitchen. With fourteen acres of Spectacular Lakeside Gardens, you can choose your perfect Wedding Venue. Ironstone's Heritage Museum is home to a 44 pound Crystalline Gold Leaf specimen, the largest in the world. The Heritage Jewelry Shoppe, located inside the Heritage Museum, offers visitors a unique opportunity to take home a piece of California's colorful history.

We had a great time at the amphitheater and concert. The grounds are very nice. Their outfit is well organized. They communicate well with the crowd getting you in, though be prepared to wait 1 hour between the time they let you in the first gate and when they let you onto the grass. Talk with the people around you,... More

We went to the vineyard for a BOSTON concert so didn't see a lot it has to offer other than the lawn area for a buffet dinner and the show itself. We wished that we had spent more time here to explore the beautiful gardens. The concert was done well, lots of restrooms, good sound, great stage.

This was my third time here: I wanted to walk the gardens in the sun, see the 3 million chunk of crystallized gold and taste the wine! What an all around lovely time! The gardens are attentively kept and styled, the museum has the most personal touch, the woman took our picture for us--I won't try to remember her name,... More

And beautiful grounds; worth the trip. Intimate venue to see great concert acts. The onsite museum and tasting room are fabulous and the staff is beyond helpful.

I will tell you what nobody else is. If you go here for a concert and don't actually have seat tickets, you will have the lawn tickets.. What I wish someone would have shared before I bought tickets...you will not be able to see the stage, let alone the band. The memembers of the bands (REO Speedwagon and Boston for... More

It was all good. The weather was hot, but tolerable. Lot's of people which made it fun. Live music in Green Frog Winery, wine tasting in the small wine cellars hidden around town, Great Doobie Brothers show at Ironstone Vineyards.

This is a absolutely gorgeous property to stroll, picnic, attend a concert, an event, plan a outdoor wedding or special birthday, or just check out the largest Gold Nugget ever found! The wine is marginal but the tasting room is large and full of amenities.

This can be a jammed spot. They have a little bit of everything - some gardens, an Amphitheatre, wine caverns with a free tour, a tasting room and a fully restored Alhambra Theatre Pipe Organ, and a huge gold leaf specimen found in Tuolumne County. In the spring on a weekday it is quiet and peaceful - however, events and... More

The staff here is the unfriendliest we came across. Not rude but just not happy to see you and act like it is a chore to answer questions. Gift shop is expensive but they usually are around here. Best bet is to wine taste which is 5.00 and then buy a bottle and go find some shade and sit. Food... More

Stopped by Ironstone to walk through their Museum which came highly recommended. Stated on their website that it was open. It was NOT! Older gentleman sitting in a chair in front of the museum said they were closed and we could not walk up the wooden walkway to even take a look inside. He was not friendly at all. Did... More
