We had a wonderful surprise walking in Shoreline Park, right in the middle of Mountain View. The paths were comfortable and overlooked water. There were boats to rent and places to rest, grab a bite, and enjoy the natural surroundings.

- free parking n entrance - boating options - kite flying area - running trails n biking too - has restrooms, not too great but ok - bird turd..only drawback..smell too - people do picnics here..ok for it due to smell of bird turd at most places, so hunt for a good spot first then you are gold

I always visit this park whenever I go to Sanfrancisco. Blissful, Peaceful & Beautiful is how I would describe this . A true haven for all age groups . Has a plethora of activities to offer besides boating & sailing ! A great place to picnic or just walk alongside squirrels, swans, Sea gulls on well paved paths ! Can... More

In the middle of all the industry, is the Shoreline Park, a lovely park, expanse of beach and it provides ample opportunities for boating on all types of crafts for all skill levels. Prices are reasonable.

On a recent trip to Silicon Valley with my husband (he was working, I wasn't) I found Shoreline park - a beautiful nature preserve in the midst of the tech world. There's a quaint lake where you can dine at a lakeside cafe (with wine!) or rent a paddle board or kayak to get out on the water. There are... More

This Park has so much to offer that it'll take me a few reviews to cover it all. This time I went hiking, was heavenly, a few hours around the park and I didn't visit it all! There are (amongst many other things) sail and paddle boats for hire that I intend to try one of these weekends and a... More

Shoreline has been a piece of heaven for me all of the years I have lived in Silicon Valley. I have enjoyed walking or biking the various trails as well as sitting on one of the many benches that look out over the lake. Recently, I was fortunate to witness a pod of at least 60 pelicans floating on the... More

We had lunch in the cafe here on a beautiful day. Lots of bird watching and people watching! If we hadn't had other places to go I would have been content to sit all day long, just watching the lake. Good food!

This delightful location has a small lake with sail boats and windsurfers available for hire, a separate kite flying area, golf course and a small cafe / restaurant. It also has walks alongside San Francisco Bay and the creeks running off that. The wildlife is less skittish than equivalents in the UK with ground squirrels, jack rabbits (that are skittish)...
