Wonderful lake for RV-ing, fishing, or just letting kids play on the inflatables during the summer months. Water levels have been a bit low due to the drought, but recent rains have helped. Its worth if nothing else going to the dam and walking around the trails nearby. Mt Shasta's summer and winter gem.

If you are traveling near Mount Shasta, please stop and visit Lake Siskiyou. Yesterday was my first time visiting the lake (January) and there were quite a few people around. I can only imagine how busy it is in summer months. There is a great hiking trail obviously called the Lake Siskiyou Trail. It is a heavily walked and wide... More

Near Mt. Shasta City and a nice place for picnic in the spring or summer. Very clean...water is a bit cold for most swimmers. It comes from Mountain Shasta. Quiet....near golf course and nice cabins. Just off Highway 5...take some time for some rest and a great view of the mountain.

The cliff-side south shoreline path can be a bit narrow and nervy behind the resort villa, but great views of the Lake, The dam is non-descriptive on the lake side, but an eye-popping steep and deep canyon is on the other side! Picnic benches near the dam area. Free parking in gravel lot just before getting to the dam.

Lake Siskiyou is an easily accessible lake close to I-5. We often stop by for a swim on our journey south. It's a great way to take a break from a long drive. The lake is big with many places to park and swim. They do allow motor boats so there are boat wakes. The views of Mt Shasta from... More

this lake was created when the dam was done. Nevertheless since the surroundings are so spectacular, this man made lake have a unique quality....it looks so calm, pure a pristine that a visit must be done to this amazing place

We were pleasantly surprised to find that, in spite of the drought, this lake is very lovely and provides excellent swimming!

The lake is close to Mt. Shasta and is nice for it's size. I was very surprise at how full it was. It appeared to be full close to normal levels even in the drouth. No motor craft. Just canoes and kayaks. Looks like it would be a nice lake to explore.

Beautiful lake. We rented 10 person party barge at Lake Siskiyou resort. The price was reasonable. If you want to quickly go around the lake 1 hour is enough. If you want to take your time 2 hours. If you bring food eat, and swim in the middle of the lake 3 hours will be the best. Beautiful views of... More
