The lake is close to Mt. Shasta and is nice for it's size. I was very surprise at how full it was. It appeared to be full close to normal levels even in the drouth. No motor craft. Just canoes and kayaks. Looks like it would be a nice lake to explore.

Beautiful lake. We rented 10 person party barge at Lake Siskiyou resort. The price was reasonable. If you want to quickly go around the lake 1 hour is enough. If you want to take your time 2 hours. If you bring food eat, and swim in the middle of the lake 3 hours will be the best. Beautiful views of... More

Hike or bike around the lake. You can stop halfway and enjoy lunch and a microbrew. Toilets are available every couple miles. We parked at the trailhead across from the tennis courts and walked around the lake in a counter clockwise direction. The restaurant/camp store is located at about 4 mile marker.

A beautiful lake for swimming, fishing, running around, and just relaxing. There is a footbridge that goes across it.

Very beautiful lake in Mount Shasta. This was our second lake to go swimming in. There were picnic tables around the lake that after swimming we used for hanging out. We met some very nice people coming in from New Jersey. A lovely lake. Great for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming.

I loved this lake, minus 1 star due to the parking lot and forest you have to cross to get to the beach. It was difficult to to unload/load up grill, coolers and chairs to get to the beach. Beautiful lake and beach. Park entrance was $1. Bathrooms are clean but far. I loved that this lake had a Splash... More

From the beach side (opposite the damn) you can hike around the lake and see Mt Shasta rising in the distance. Swimming, kayaking, fishing all available. The beach is great for families w/kids. I've never seen such unusual and fun giant blow up water toys for the kids...although we saw the adults out there on the equipment too... Nice souvenir... More

We stayed in nearby Dunsmuir at the Railroad Resort Park. They recommended Lake Siskiyou for a nice relaxing day on the lake. We took our kayaks up on a Friday and wow - what a place! The lake was full and beautiful! Warm and clear water. Only a dollar per person entry for day use and free launch - can't... More

We rented paddle boards and had a leisurely paddle around the lagoon--the view of Shasta from the lake is fantastic. And there are fun floats, and a floating playground for kids, as well as paddle boats and kayaks. Really enjoyed it.
