My daughter and I have kayaked before, but never like this. We watched a brief video about kayaking and keeping distance from the wildlife. Then a really helpful man named Corland, a marine expert from a nearby college, was kind enough to help us get suited up an into our kayak. He also gave up some great tips as to... More

There were a couple options to kayak into Elkhorn Slough, but we decided to go with Kayak Connection, and it was a good choice. The equipment was in good shape, and the staff did a good job of explaining how to use it and helping us get geared up. It was great having the kayak skirts, which keep any water... More

My husband brought his SUP and I rented a kayak from kayak connection and we set out on our adventure (after first getting our dog settled into the kayak connection office, they were kind enough to dog sit for us!). We were lucky to experience perfect weather and tide conditions, to see so much sea life in their own habitat... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by kayaking at Elkhorn Slough. We are very glad we chose Kayak connections ! Their equipment is terrific and the service outstanding. I brought a change of clothes, and was surprised it wasnt necessary: you dont even get your feet wet! We were fortunate to have a bright sunny day but due to... More

This was by far the best kayaking trip I have been on. Our guide was very funny and knew the area so well that he could answer all of our questions. My husband and I went for our first annivesary and his first kayaking experience. He fell in love with it right away. The trip was very relaxing and beautiful.... More

Our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 high school/college kids) arranged for a guided tour of Monterrey Bay from 9:30-11:30 am. The time of day was perfect because the sun was out but it was not too hot yet and there were lots of animals about. We saw otters, seals, birds and fish only yards away from our kayaks.... More

Flew into SFO and drove directly down to Moss Landing to kayak. Rented a tandem kayak with my GF. Had a private tour with Matt as our guide. Although my GF had never been in a kayak, she felt right at ease with Matt there and his instructions. It was truly amazing. Saw plenty of sea otters, harbour seals, sea... More

There's a couple of hundred sea lions lounging on the rocks as you head into Elkhorn Slough...and those pinnipeds are gonna do what pinnipeds are wont to do after a hearty meal of squid and herring...and so for about a minute of your paddle, you might want to hold a lilac-scented box of snuff under your nose, or maybe just... For an amazing Kayak or Stand-up- Paddleboard adventure don't look any further than Kayak Connection. The trip from their Moss Landing shop had us viewing harbor seals, sea otters and all kinds of birds even as we were waiting on the dock. The paddle into Elkhorn Slough past all those giant barking sea lions...Amazing! We also tried stand up paddleboarding... More
