While everyone was satisfyingly tired at the end, we were absolutely captivated by your hikes. Virginia was the penultimate guide during our stay at Treebones in Big Sur. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, ecology, botany and local lore. We were pleased to hear nothing but glowing feedback from our two young daughters during the hikes and afterwards. They... More

Fantastic service! My partner and I rented road bikes to go from Monterey from San Luis Obispo on a self-guided bike tour. From the first email I sent to John months before our trip, to the day he came and picked the bikes when we had finished, the service was excellent, professional and fair. We thought the price was extremely... More

We were 4 women on a girls weekend. We had different biking abilities but John and Steve did a great job in taking care of all of us. We stopped at some great wineries, they provided a delicious lunch, and just did a fantastic job all around. We highly recommend them.

My husband and I did the half-day kayaking tour of Morro Bay. The guide, Kyle, was terrific -- very knowledgable about the ecology of the area, and able to take us to great spots for viewing birds and harbor seals. The tour enabled me to see much more than I would have been able to on my own. The office... More

We have been to the central coast many times, but this was the first time we didn't have great beach weather. So we were searching for another outdoor activity. We came across central coast outdoors bike tour. We are not intense cyclists. Just a family of four, 2 adults 2 teenagers, that ride around the neighborhood or on a bike... More

Awesome trip! We saw lots of wildlife, including many bird species and harbor seals. Virginia was very knowledgeable and personable. She went at a pace that was good for everyone. The sand dunes were beautiful. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

Virginia made the reservation and was very helpful and informative. I'd been kayaking in Morrow Bay before, and always wanted to go over to the sandpit, so that was the right choice for me... Dave was my guide and he was the Best. I learned a lot, he loves teaching kids and really knows the area through and through. I... More

We only had one day in Big Sur and didn't want to miss the essentials, so we signed up for the hiking tour with Central Coast. What a pleasure. Craig took us to hidden coves, spectacular overlooks, and gorgeous redwood groves. He knows the area well and was full of information and tips. This is an easy outing lasting from... More

We went on the mid-week half-day kayak trip that turned out to be a private excursion for our party of 3. Kyla the guide was responsive, informative, flexible, engaging, and good-humored, and the trip was just glorious, combining paddling, wildlife, and a hike over the dunes to the ocean. They provide little extras that make a big difference, like waterproof... More
