My boyfriend surprised me with a private bike tour of Paso Robles and Central Coast Outdoors did not disappoint! We were met by Virginia, our guide who provided everything we needed, right down to water bottles and snacks. It was a perfect day...the wine was delicious and the scenic route we biked had the most beautiful views of Paso wine... More

John Flaherty has been a kayaking and biking guide since the 1980s. It shows. His tour out of Morro Bay was first rate, not only did we learn a lot about the local nature, we got to see harbor seals, a few sea otters and many sea birds. The whole time we felt safe and well taken care of. If... More

We had a fantastic ride with Central Coast Outdoors. Our bike trip started at the Ragged Point in and took us along a 20mi coastal journey past elephant seals, the hearst castle, and beautiful scenery to our destination at moon stone beach where a delicious picnic lunch was waiting for us. Our guide not only was there to provide bike... More

We booked a Valentine's Day 1/2 Pacific Coast Highway bike tour and it was fantastic. Virginia picked us up at our hotel and transported us to our starting point at Ragged Point. She was very pleasant and informative about the trip and area. It was great that it was a private tour so we could go at our own pace.... More

My partner and I did the sunset kayak trip on Morro Bay this past weekend. and it was a great experience. John, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife and the history of Morro Bay. Enjoying a beer with some gourmet cheese and fruit on the dunes with the sun setting behind us, and watching birds on the... More

I stumbled upon these guys on the Internet whilst looking for some kind of solo cycling adventure, and ended up booking a 6 day self guided solo trip from San Francisco to Santa Barbara. The ride itself and coastline is amazing, although would be a challenging ride if you're not a fit cyclist. From the moment I contacted John by... More

Our family had a great morning kayak/dune hike on Morro Bay with our guide Morgan! Our kids (10 and 7) loved the time on the water and in the sand dunes, despite some chillier than normal temperatures. If you enjoy a paddle on open water in the California sunshine in the company of harbor seals and a wide variety of... More

We're repeat offenders for Central Outdoors' Big Sur Ecotour. John is arguably the most genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide we've ever had. Nobody gets quite as excited about a whale or a condor as this guy and it's doubly impressive considering he probably sees the same stuff every day of his life. My girlfriend and I had done this tour... More

Every once in a while I want to give a company a 10 star rating. Central Coast Outdoors deserves it. Phenomenal, breathtaking, thoughtful, organized, easy, fun, sublime are just a few adjectives to describe the day. Virginia was a remarkable guide and Central Coast Outdoors was a pleasure to deal with. Great service from start to finish. If you even... More

My wife and I rode bikes provided by Central Coast Outdoors from Ragged Point to Moonstone Beach in late October. Virginia was our guide and she took care of everything from getting us to Ragged Point, providing the proper equipment and preparing a wonderful picnic lunch (with a great bottle of wine) at the state park in Moonstone Beach. The... More
